AWDB had an organized, methodical time line and process. This company did an amazing job of protecting my floors and finishes. They were impeccable with their caulking and plastering. My painted walls were so smooth, I could almost see my reflection. Mike showed up at the crack of dawn and perfected any imperfections. Shannon designed the most efficient kitchen in which I've ever cooked. The team would notice things before we did.. “no, that marble seal in your kitchen isn’t perfect enough, do it again.” Anthony Wilder DELIVERED ON TIME with IMPECCABLE cleanliness. After the professional cleaners came in, Anthony's wife and designers and staff cleaned again. With Q-Tips in corners. Not a speck of dust to be found anywhere. The team handed me an organized bible of my home, its finishes and its warranties in a three ring binder sectioned off by room. I sadly had to sell that home, and the new owner was flabbergasted and beyond appreciative on that binder. Just such a wonderful added touch. I cannot recommend this company more. I had ZERO renovation nightmares with them. They live up to their reputation.

It has been our pleasure to have Anthony Wilder and his amazing team of architects, lead carpenters, and designers design and build two (2) home renovations for us. One project was an exterior design and facelift for our single family home (2007), and the other was the complete re-design of the main floor of our home to maximize light, function, and water views (2015). Anthony Wilder Design Build's work is remarkable for architectural vision, its dedication to the highest level of excellence, and its commitment to customer service. We received regular communication (almost daily updates) regarding the status of the project and prompt responses to our responses. Now that our current project is near completion, we only wish that we had another project with them!

The Anthony Wilder Design/Build organization saved our butts! We had previously worked with independent contractors on various renovations and truthfully were burned pretty bad on quality of work, timeliness, and responsiveness (and of course, cost). We finally threw in the towel on trying to find and manage independent contractors and decided that for many reasons (including sanity) we would work with a design/build company to manage the whole renovation. Enter Anthony Wilder D/B. It is not hyperbole to say that they were a breath of fresh air and a full 180 difference from our previous bad experiences with contractors. The Anthony Wilder crew have always been very professional from start to finish (we have used them repeatedly for multiple major and minor renovations). The staff are friendly and courteous, and really care about how the homeowners feel about the quality of work. There have been times when we wanted something done a different way and the Wilder people's first response has been "let's do it the way you want it and make sure you are happy." They also go out of their way if they think you need additional assistance or a fix. In addition to the responsiveness and quality of their on-site staff, they also really live up to their tagline of "architecture with whimsy". From designs that are modern and fresh (and fun!) to how they interact with clients (they treat you like friends or family), we feel like they deliver the whole experience. For us, having been burned by trying to manage independent contractors, working with Anthony Wilder and their whole crew (from project leads to other staff) has actually been fun and a relief, and probably saved our relationship (yes, renovations can create a lot of stress at home!). I would, and have, recommended Anthony Wilder Design/Build for any type of renovation. You won't regret working with this organization and you will definitely enjoy the whimsy they create for you.

After doing several bathroom re-models with a lesser competitor and feeling we got very little value, we hired Anthony Wilder to redo our kitchen/breakfast nook/back patio. The price was not cheap. Double some other quotes. And I wouldn't hesitate for an instant to do it again. They operated with the highest level of professionalism, detail, completeness and honesty I have seen from any service provider. We were on budget and on schedule from beginning to end. Their capabilities, thoughtfulness, and follow-through are without compare. That's my kitchen with the Cherry Blossom tiles over the range. Tiles AW found in California to add "whimsy" and garner compliments from everyone who sees them. And here 5 years later, there is not a single loose drawer-pull or squeeky cabinet-door in the whole place.

While planning our remodel we met with several area design-build firms. JP Ward and Mary Johnston were a great team. They asked a lot of questions about how we live and our family lifestyle. They listened while we described aspects of our house that didn't meet our needs and came up with creative solutions and also made suggestions on alternate approaches to design ideas. They also described how they work and their process in a level of detail that I hadn't found when interviewing other firms. We were very confident that our home remodel would be managed with care at Anthony Wilder. We unexpectedly moved about a month later and did not engage any firm as we were selling the property. I did, however, see examples of their work and would highly encourage others to contact the firm for your design/build needs.

We hired Anthony Wilder Design Build in 2013 to renovate our 1950s rambler. The company was absolutely wonderful to work with. Mr. Wilder and his team had very innovative and creative ideas how to "modernize" and upgrade our home. After several consultations with them, discussing our budgets and our needs, we decided to have the company: renovate and expand our master bathroom; enhance our master bedroom, through inserting large windows into one side wall and expanding closet space; renovating our kitchen and family room area; renovating our outside porch; and taking down a wall inside the home. Everyone we worked with from Mr. Wilder himself, the designer, architect, and the builders were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They were such a pleasures to work with -- they were very patient and flexbile when we decided to revisit previous design ideas; and provided tons of design ideas to choose from; went with us when choosing fixtures, tiles, countertops, etc.. While the rennovations were going on, we lived in our renovated basement. The crew was very respectful of our personal space, and cleaned their work area at the end of the day. By the end of the job, we felt like we had formed friendships with everyone who was part of our home renovation project. Our project was completed on time, or perhaps even a bit earlier than expected, and the costs came in a bit lower than expected. All in all would highly recommend Anthony Wilder Design/Build! .

A professional group of talented Architects, Designers, project managers Lead Carpenters and support staff that from beginning to the end plan creatively, communicate well and execute to perfection, in a timely manner! They all take pride in their jobs! Respecting and well Protecting the premises during the construction makes it easier for their clients To live at home while under construction. As an outside professional who has worked with their Firm over the years, I have been most impressed with their quality of work and high standards every step of the way!

Phenomenal! Transformational! Exceptional quality, both in the product and the process! That is our experience with AWDB. From the first meeting through the last walk-through and punch list execution, AWDB led us through our project with excellent design, clear explanations of each step of the process, a team of unbelievably kind and caring professionals who are the best at what they do, careful attention to budget, and lots of fun. We gutted and redid our kitchen, master bathroom, laundry room, mudroom, and powder room, and made smaller changes to several other parts of the house. The project took four months and finished on the scheduled completion date! We love the results and AWDB made it fun getting there!

We had an excellent experience when we hired Anthony Wilder and firm. They were completely professional and above all, trustworthy. As with any home renovation project, there are always some minor setbacks but Anthony and team took care of them promptly and to our complete satisfaction. Our project was finished beautifully and to date is still our favorite part of the house almost 8 years later. We renovated a kitchen, added a screen porch, flagstone patio and pond. A big project for us but Anthony created our dream! We believe they are one of the best firms in our area.
