Whether it’s arthritis, joint or back pain, restless leg syndrome, muscle injuries or fibromyalgia, hot tubs are a proven form of chronic pain relief. The heat of the water increases blood flow and relaxes the body, while the massaging action of the jets and the water’s buoyancy loosen muscle tension and soothe sore joints.
The New England Journal of Medicine (08-16-1999) found that, after just 10 days, patients with Type 2 Diabetes who used hot tubs 30 minutes a day/6 days per week required reduced doses of insulin, lost weight, slept better and showed distinct decreases in plasma glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin.
Hot tubs can be a great fix for those suffering from insomnia, helping your body to wind down before bed and get the natural sleep you need. Even if you don’t suffer from chronic sleep problems, the Better Sleep Council recommends establishing a relaxing bedtime routine, such as soaking in hot water to help maintain a healthy sleep cycle. According to the Council’s findings, warm water releases muscle tension and increases blood flow, both of which contribute to a relaxed and deeper, more comfortable sleep.
Whether it’s a new exercise routine or an unusually active day on your feet, most of us know the “day after” feeling of sore, overworked muscles that make it hurt to move, period. The water pressure from hot tub jets relieves muscle tightness and soreness by removing lactic acid, opening up the blood vessels and promoting the flow of endorphins. LPGA Sports Medicine Director Caroline Nichols and former President of the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine Dr. James Andrews recommend hydrotherapeutic activity for athletes at every level. Nichols says that hot tubs especially help with recovery since jets focus on overused muscle and joint regions, while Andrews supports hydrotherapy as a good tool for improved circulation, sensory impulses and stiff joints.
Whether you’re looking to alleviate stress, feel healthier or simply spend more time with your loved ones, you’d be amazed at how as little as 10 minutes in a hot tub can help you relax and put everything in perspective. There are hot tubs for every type of user, regardless of whether it’s just you or it’s the entire gang piling in, looking for some much-needed relief after a long day.

This customer was in their mid-50s and were building their "forever home" on a beautiful piece of property in Madison, AL. They wanted to build a home with features where they could gracefully age in place in the comfort of their own home and to plan now for future needs. They also wanted to build their home where their parents could move in with them instead of going to a nursing home. This curbless master shower made it possible to easily step into or roll a wheelchair into. In the next picture you can see the bench to make it easy to sit down while showering. The walls of the shower had bracing to add grab bars, when needed. This home was built by and pictures taken by Mark of Action Builders Inc.

A great shot of a living room "in action". Notice the Roman Shades, Skylight AND artwork over the TV "moving"? With Media Decor Television solutions, you choose the artwork and the frame, and they customize it to fit your TV. Motorized by Lutron QS drive/motor, this moveable art is silent!

This kitchen addition project is an expansion of an old story and a half South Bozeman home.

This old house has been remodeled and added onto many times over. A complete demolition and rebuild of this structure would be the best course of action, but we are in a historic neighborhood and we will be working with it as is. Budget is an issue as well, so in addition to the second story addition, we are limiting our renovation efforts to the kitchen and bathroom areas at the back the house. We are making a concerted effort to not get into too much of the existing front half of this house.
This is precisely the type of remodeling work that requires a very skilled and experienced builder. And I emphasize experienced. We are lucky to be working with Luke Stahlberg of Ibex Builders. Luke is a talented local Bozeman contractor with years of experience in the remodeling industry. Luke is very methodical and well organized. This is a classic remodeling project with enough detail to really test a contractor’s skill and experience.

The Humanscale® Freedom office chair is so easy to use because its automatic recline action ensures your body stays in optimal position for all-day comfort. The tri-panel backrest hugs your body to provide lumbar support without adjustment knobs and levers. Rather, it moves with you throughout the day, working with your body as you shift your weight and position.

The soaring cathedral ceilings and warm exposed beams were the only features to speak of in this non-descript open landing. Off the hallway near the kids’ rooms, its small size and open layout made it something in between a hallway and a room. While most might consider a TV or office nook for this space, its adjacency to the children’s quarters inspired the designer toward something more imaginative. Inspired by the bright open space, this design achieves a sort of Balinese treehouse aesthetic – and all of it is designed specifically for fun.
Playful hanging beds swing freely on sisal rope, creating a beckoning space that draws in children and adults alike. The mattresses were filled especially with non-toxic, non-petroleum natural fiber fill to make them healthy to sleep and lounge on – and encased in removable, washable organic cotton slipcovers. As the children are young, the floor space (finished in non-toxic lacquer) is kept clear and available for sprawling play. Large storage benches topped with walnut seats keep toys and books well organized, and ready for action at any time.

Inspiration for a contemporary master freestanding bathtub remodel in Los Angeles with an undermount sink, flat-panel cabinets and white cabinets

Who wouldn't fall in love with the Water Street building, and the elegant industrial vibe? The light that floods in through the floor-to-ceiling windows makes this a perfect spot to entertain and host friends from California or adult kids who visit. The location can't be beat--these clients ride their bikes to meet friends for lunch or a tour through the Hirschhorn. We knocked down a wall to open the kitchen, and added modern furnishings punctuated by splashes of deep orangey-red. High contrast and lots of rich textures can be found throughout this urban loft.

As we move beyond the kitchen, we see the open concept design in action. The two-toned cabinetry continues into the living area, ensuring a consistent and cohesive design throughout the open space. The transition from kitchen to living area is so seamless that it blurs the lines between the two spaces, creating an inviting and unified environment.

Red Orange Contemporary Abstract Art is a dramatic and stimulating statement for a modern interior. Warm colors of red orange, yellow and hot pink blend together. Strong black line moves in action. The artwork floats off the wall with an aluminum cleat hanging system. The high quality plexiglass is a vibrant and trendy style alternative to the traditional frame.
