We are in the process of this exciting project. We're keeping the footprint of the original existing home, gutting it and re-siding it, and adding on a two-story addition behind the house and tree with access from the alley. This ensures both the large tree and the small neighborhood feel stay in-tact, while the square footage is maximized for this family.

Our goal with all of these designs was to creatively exceed customers expectations while reducing water usage, keeping costs down and delivering a beautiful garden that would stand the test of time. Wherever possible our hardscape elements are permeable, and existing healthy plantings and trees remain. All of our landscape designs focus on bringing seasonal color, texture and scent to your garden spaces.

So excited to share this kitchen Remodel in Carlsbad. We increased the usable space without adding any square feet We removed the existing peninsula and sliding patio door and replaced the door with a French door and window allowing us to extend the countertop by the sink. We now had room to add a Island for prep and seating on the end! The homeowner said now the whole family can work in the kitchen at one time

These homeowners needed a large island to accommodate their family of five. After looking at several countertop options they fell in love with Cambria Seagrove kitchen countertops. They wanted the countertops to be fun and exciting with grays and whites, something that would add character to their home. And, just look at that backsplash! A diamond shaped, marble look tile with a little gemstone from Glazzio that adds glitz to the kitchen.

The homeowners had recently gone through a large renovation where they added onto the existing house and upgraded all the finishes when we were hired to design two of their childrens' bedrooms. We went on create the entire dining room and living room designs. We sourced furniture and accessories for the foyer and put the finishing touches on many other rooms throughout the house. The clients for this small bathroom project are passionate art enthusiasts and asked the architects to create a space based on the work of one of their favorite abstract painters, Piet Mondrian. Mondrian was a Dutch artist associated with the De Stijl movement which reduced designs down to basic rectilinear forms and primary colors within a grid. Alloy used floor to ceiling recycled glass tiles to re-interpret Mondrian's compositions, using blocks of color in a white grid of tile to delineate space and the functions within the small room. A red block of color is recessed and becomes a niche, a blue block is a shower seat, a yellow rectangle connects shower fixtures with the drain. The bathroom also has many aging-in-place design components which were a priority for the clients. There is a zero clearance entrance to the shower. We widened the doorway for greater accessibility and installed a pocket door to save space. ADA compliant grab bars were located to compliment the tile composition. Andrea Hubbell Photography

Our client was excited to get to work on his new place. We connected right here on Houzz and had so much fun working together on this project! Upstairs, a beautiful mediation space full of cozy pillows in varying shades of gray and green is complemented with crisp white bead board walls. Natural textures and reclaimed wood is used throughout the home to give it an organic clean feel. We loved the exposed beams in the kitchen and took advantage of the open airy feeling by adding darker toned barstools. A mix of materials for the dining table and chairs keeps it looking fresh and modern. Bursts of color in just the right places add excitement and depth to this super cozy home.
