The tiles are meticulously laid in a vertical brick pattern, creating a sophisticated backdrop for the flames to dance against. The mantel, crafted from rich wood, offers a perfect perch for cherished mementos or decor accents, adding a personalized touch to the room.
Mounted TV Above the Fireplace:
Above the fireplace, a slim and sophisticated mounted TV is seamlessly integrated into the design. The TV is strategically positioned at eye level, ensuring optimal viewing comfort from anywhere in the room. The Highland Park family of 6 aimed to create an oasis for their extended family and friends to enjoy. We added a large sectional, extra island space and a spacious outdoor setup to complete this goal. Our tile selections added special details to the bathrooms, mudroom and laundry room. The lighting lit up the gorgeous wallpaper and paint selections. To top it off the accessories were the perfect way to accentuate the style and excitement within this home! This project is truly one of our favorites. Hopefully we can enjoy cocktails in the pool soon!

Almost every room in their home has been remodeled to better reflect their tastes and create spaces that functions better for their family. We utilized natural materials every step of the way and designed a balance of mid-century inspired touches and cool contemporary finishes. In the living room we removed the existing half-wall to open up the entry and dining room and create an easier transition between spaces. To make the fireplace the focal point of the living room we designed a beautiful wall of honed sandstone and sourced a reclaimed wood mantel. Increasing storage was a necessity for this home, so we added a much needed closet to the dining room, and designed semi custom floating cabinetry for the living room & dining room. We added a custom barn door to their family room to give them the option of closing the television off from the rest of their home. The clients really wanted to brighten up their dark kitchen, so we removed the black cabinets and red backsplash to make room for beautiful natural wood cabinets and a custom clay tile backsplash. Contemporary touches like a zero radius stainless steel sink, concrete light fixtures, and a double waterfall counter-top continue to echo the clean lines utilized through out the rest of the home. For the two first floor bathrooms we removed barrels full of mosaic tile and installed large scale white and grey tiles, making the rooms feel larger and reign in the visual texture. We continued to use the cool tones and clean lines in the bathrooms to tie them in with the rest of the home and give us a unified feel between spaces.

S.Flynn Design + BuildThe original living room had a bulky media station with an off-center fireplace. To restore balance to the room, we shifted the fireplace under the television and covered it in glass so it can be seen from the kitchen.
Adjacent to the fireplace, we added lots of storage with large push drawers able to conceal any mess. With the extra space between the built-ins and the wall, we decided to add a cute little reading nook with some fun lighting.
Most of all, our clients wanted their remodeled lake house to feel cozy, so we installed a few ceiling beams for some rustic charm. The living room is an irregular shape, so we had to get creative with the furniture. We used their sofa that they loved and added a sleek side chair that we placed in the corner surrounded by windows.

Four Elements ConstructionIn this renovation, we redid the entire kitchen, ensuite, and main bathroom. Brand new quartz countertops were installed alongside custom cabinetry - white in the kitchen, and natural wood finish in the ensuite. A beautiful shower was installed in the ensuite bathroom, and custom shelving was added to the pantry as well as the mudroom. To finish it off, we added a fresh coat of paint to the walls, trim, and doors throughout the main floor, as well as refinished the hardwood flooring.
Diane Stein Design for Sheffield FurnitureThis beautiful little girl's bedroom is accented perfectly with the custom valance and cellular shades. This is a young but timeless. The cellular blind are done is a lovely linen texture with a blackout lining adding beauty and function at the same time. The layered detail on the valances add the special touch while keeping the treatments young, fresh and not too heavy. Adding to this design are a variety of custom pillows and a window seat cushion which is the prefect place to play or relax with mom and dad.

Mark Brand ArchitectureThe original design of this late Mid-century Modern house featured a horrifically ugly entry which the owners needed our help to fix. In addition, they wanted to add a master suite, create a home theatre, and remodel the family room. Although they originally considered adding a second floor, our final design resulted in an extension of the house which accentuated its existing linear quality. Our solution to the entry problem included cutting back part of the vaulted roof to allow more light in and adding a cantilevered canopy instead. A new entry bridge crosses a koi pond, and new clerestory windows, stone planters and cedar trim complete the makeover of the previously bland plywood-clad box. The new master suite features 12 foot ceilings, clerestory windows, 8 foot high French doors and a fireplace. The exterior of the addition employs the same pallet of materials as the new façade but with a carefully composed composition of form and proportion. The new family room features the same stone cladding as we used on the exterior.
