Example of a trendy walk-out carpeted and multicolored floor basement design in Cleveland with no fireplace and gray walls

Located in Dallas TX, we undertook the full home renovation and addition with our good friend and collaborator Craig Beneke of architecture & fabrication. A 1960's single story ranch was totally transformed to add a new era of relevance to its neighborhood. When most of the houses in the area are being torn down our savy clients saw the gem that was lying in the rough.

This house is a great example of how you can transform the tight and confined floor plan of a typical ranch into an open 2 story house. This project was completed 10 years ago, however the timeless space planning will be relevant for decades to come.

This understated expansive western mountain view kitchen is at the termination of the entry hallway axis. The entire home opens up to the views on three sides. Meant to be a clutter free kitchen, meticulous organization went into planning the storage. Adjacent is a BBQ deck area,. The outdoor dining corner opens completely to the ktichen on the left joining the nook dining and the island bar dining. Material features; quartzite counters, live edge wood floating bar, custom textured wood grain laminate cabinets-horizontal modern drawers, side hallway baking areas, glass overhead lift upper cabinets, high end appliances, Miele coffee in wall, wall ovens, refrigerator drawers, the pantry room is near the back kitchen which also has a sink and a dishwasher similar to the front area. The Wolf gas range is over drawers. The tall pantries create a cooking niche area with lots of counter space. The owners office is tucked behind to be private yet in the middle of the action.
The color scheme pull all elements in-deep chocolate browns, light grays, off whites, stainless steel, raw steel, porcelain concrete large tile. Custom stealth pendant dining lighting to not obstruct any view while still special.
This kitchen has a connecting hall to the mud room and garage for ease of access. It has an additional short connection behind the stairwell to the main bar and formal dining room. Just off the refrigerator you can see the framed hall opening. Spatially it functions as the heart of the home and yet has quick access to many supporting spaces.

A merge of modern lines with classic shapes and materials creates a refreshingly timeless appeal for these secondary bath remodels. All three baths showcasing different design elements with a continuity of warm woods, natural stone, and scaled lighting making them perfect for guest retreats.

This 10,970 square-foot, single-family home took the place of an obsolete structure in an established, picturesque Milwaukee suburb. The newly constructed house feels both fresh and relevant while being respectful of its surrounding traditional context. It is sited in a way that makes it feel as if it was there very early and the neighborhood developed around it. The home is clad in a custom blend of New York granite sourced from two quarries to get a unique color blend. Large, white cement board trim, standing-seam copper, large groupings of windows, and cut limestone accents are composed to create a home that feels both old and new—and as if it were plucked from a storybook. Marvin products helped tell this story with many available options and configurations that fit the design.

Elegant travertine tile bathroom photo in Houston with granite countertops

A traditional house that meanders around courtyards built as though it where built in stages over time. Well proportioned and timeless. Presenting its modest humble face this large home is filled with surprises as it demands that you take your time to experience it.

This 4,500 square foot house faces eastward across Lake Washington from Kirkland toward the Seattle skyline. The clients have an appreciation for the Foursquare style found in many of the historic homes in the area, and designing a home that fit this vocabulary while also conforming to the zoning height limits was the primary challenge. The plan includes a music room, study, craft room, breakfast nook, and 5 bedrooms, all of which pinwheel off of a centrally located stair. Skylights in the center of the house flood the home with natural light from the ceiling through an opening in the second floor down to the main level.
