This is the Catio designed for my clients 5 adopted kitties with issues. She came to me to install a vestibule between her garage and the family room which were not connected. I designed that area and when she also wanted to take the room she was currently using as the littler box room into a library I came up with using the extra space next to the new vestibule for the cats. The living room contains a custom tree with 5 cat beds, a chair for people to sit in and the sofa tunnel I designed for them to crawl through and hide in. I designed steps that they can use to climb up to the wooden bridge so they can look at the birds eye to eye out in the garden. My client is an artist and painted portraits of the cats that are on the walls. We installed a door with a frosted window and a hole cut in the bottom which leads into another room which is strictly the litter room. we have lots of storage and two Litter Robots that are enough to take care of all their needs. I installed a functional transom window that she can keep open for fresh air. We also installed a mini split air conditioner if they are in there when it is hot. They all seem to love it! They live in the rest of the house and this room is only used if the client is entertaining so she doesn't have to worry about them getting out. It is attached to the family room which is shown here in the foreground, so they can keep an eye on us while we keep an eye on them.

Benjamin Benschneider A Seattle family was expecting their third child and hoping to find space for an additional bedroom within their existing one-story home. A small second floor addition was considered but the cost and disruption to the family living space presented serious drawbacks. A new detached garage and DADU (Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit), to be located in the backyard, was proposed to free up the existing basement garage for the new bedroom. The new building is modest and simple, designed with a scale and character to complement the existing house and neighborhood.

Renovation and construction of traditional homes in California is increasingly adopting a design concept that has an eclectic taste for the various architectural styles found throughout the sate. Dynamic Garage Door designs some of the most attractive eclectic garage door designs that are commonly applied to traditional, historical and newly constructed homes in California and the rest of the nation as well. This custom modern garage door was designed with window panels offset to one side for dramatic curb appeal and to resonate the home's modernistic eclectic style. The overlay material is a paint grade eco-friendly material that his highly resistant to moisture, cracking splitting and salinity in the air since the home is located in Newport Beach close to the ocean. The dark paint that was selected makes an outstanding contrast between the earthy colored exterior walls while offering continuity of the rest of the home's windows and doors alike. The actual glass is safety, white laminate glass that offers privacy inside the garage while allowing ample natural light to bathe the interior of the garage during the day. Offsetting the location of the windows also creates dramatic interest and a unique design concept that is formidably trendy in eclectic style homes. Mid-Century Remodel on Tabor Hill This sensitively sited house was designed by Robert Coolidge, a renowned architect and grandson of President Calvin Coolidge. The house features a symmetrical gable roof and beautiful floor to ceiling glass facing due south, smartly oriented for passive solar heating. Situated on a steep lot, the house is primarily a single story that steps down to a family room. This lower level opens to a New England exterior. Our goals for this project were to maintain the integrity of the original design while creating more modern spaces. Our design team worked to envision what Coolidge himself might have designed if he'd had access to modern materials and fixtures. With the aim of creating a signature space that ties together the living, dining, and kitchen areas, we designed a variation on the 1950's "floating kitchen." In this inviting assembly, the kitchen is located away from exterior walls, which allows views from the floor-to-ceiling glass to remain uninterrupted by cabinetry. We updated rooms throughout the house; installing modern features that pay homage to the fine, sleek lines of the original design. Finally, we opened the family room to a terrace featuring a fire pit. Since a hallmark of our design is the diminishment of the hard line between interior and exterior, we were especially pleased for the opportunity to update this classic work.

The third part of the project is about the new addition to the family who has added a new sense of fun and liveliness. They adopted a puppy and decided to install what we are calling the doggy tunnel. Working closely with our carpenter we designed and built the doggy tunnel starting in the entry closet, with a small box to fit the dog, through the wall to another box on the outside of the condo with doggy doors on each end and in the middle. Training has commenced and I heard the puppy is now using it and loving it. This makes it easier for both the homeowner and the dog.

The renovation of Maison Gray was an ambitious project, marked by technical challenges to transform this 1960s residence into a modern and bright living space. Due to urban planning constraints, it was impossible to completely demolish the house. Therefore, a progressive approach was adopted, methodically deconstructing and rebuilding each wall while keeping the roof in place with temporary supports. This required rigorous coordination between the demolition and construction teams, who worked in parallel to successfully complete the large-scale project. Major structural and framing work allowed for the roof slopes to be redefined and the creation of a double-height space, a central feature of the house's new architecture. Despite the complexity of the project, the work was completed in a relatively short period, an impressive achievement for such a large-scale transformation. Thanks to meticulous execution, the house was practically rebuilt from scratch, with a mezzanine and new spaces arranged in half-levels within a generous volume. The tall arch on the façade marks the vaulted entrance leading to an open living space in double height, naturally lit by a skylight and large windows opening to the garden. Achieving these elements and alignments required great precision, with every architectural detail, from curves to openings, carefully executed to create a fluid and harmonious flow. Sangaré Studio designed the interior with natural materials in soft tones, creating intimate and fluid spaces. Built with care, Maison Gray offers a welcoming and soothing environment, allowing the family to enjoy spaces designed for comfort and tranquility.
