Inspiration for a transitional backyard rectangular pool house remodel in Austin

Location: Brooklyn, NY, United States This brand-new townhouse at Pierhouse, Brooklyn was a gorgeous space, but was crying out for some personalization to reflect our clients vivid, sophisticated and lively design aesthetic. Bold Patterns and Colors were our friends in this fun and eclectic project. Our amazing clients collaborated with us to select the fabrics for the den's custom Roche Bobois Mah Jong sofa and we also customized a vintage swedish rug from Doris Leslie Blau. for the Living Room Our biggest challenge was to capture the space under the Staircase so that it would become usable for this family. We created cubby storage, a desk area, coat closet and oversized storage. We even managed to fit in a 12' ladder - not an easy feat! Photographed by: James Salomon

PALO ALTO ACCESSIBLE BATHROOM Designed for accessibility, the hall bathroom has a curbless shower, floating cast concrete countertop and a wide door. The same stone tile is used in the shower and above the sink, but grout colors were changed for accent. Single handle lavatory faucet. Not seen in this photo is the tiled seat in the shower (opposite the shower bar) and the toilet across from the vanity. The grab bars, both in the shower and next to the toilet, also serve as towel bars. Erlenmeyer mini pendants from Hubbarton Forge flank a mirror set in flush with the stone tile. Updating this 70's ranch with a modern design began with addressing the entrance which is set back on the property. I used ipe paneling and smooth stucco on the exterior to highlight the lines of the home. The paneling design is meant to be directional as well as esthetically pleasing.

This Campbell home underwent a full renovation and addition, expanding the kitchen footprint into the rear yard with a new high ceiling and striking glass wall for an indoor/outdoor feel. The style of the home is Japandi, with soft and warm minimalist design elements throughout.

The Breakfast Room takes advantage of the natural light and exterior view of the estate's surrounding property. The Interior Designers also chose to add a reading nook along the window sill to provide a comfortable addition to the natural elegance of the space.

The client was looking for a complete renovation of the kitchen with sleek lines and simple aesthetics paired with a pale color palette. The partial removal of the shared kitchen / dining room, and kitchen / living room walls achieved the open concept. White, high gloss, glass and chrome finishes throughout the kitchen created a bright refreshing space with a modern esthetic. The bright white was contrasted with dark luxury vinyl flooring that resists wear and tear better than hardwoods. Strategically placed lighting is both functional and adds to the beauty of this kitchen gathering place.
