The proprietor's suite is located at the back of this unit house and can be accessed through the hall. It has a fireplace, a sitting area, a private bathroom with a lavish shower, a tub, and independent sinks. This layout also hosts a powder room and two extra bedrooms upstairs. The garage has a vehicle and an attached work space. Individuals who enjoy this home because of its Southwestern design will love the home due to its comfortable and practical climate.

Blurring the boundaries between internal and external Casa Pabellón uses a unique plan that brings the external environment inside and directs the inhabitants to secluded nature filled spaces. When fully opened the house allows it’s family to live and work nearly completely outdoors. When privacy, the elements or security require it, the house can be completely closed down. The plan and lightweight pavilion structure allows for a fast and modular construction with off site prefabrication reducing environmental impact and waste. Open air circulation routes through the property reinforce the connection to the surrounding South Pacific jungles that cover the hills in this quiet corner of Costa Rica. Inspiration for a contemporary closet remodel in Miami

Working from the home outward is the screened porch addition. The screened porch was designed with a gable roof. We left the end of the gable open to bring the most benefit within the interior of the porch. The open end allows for air circulation and natural light to flow into the room. By using the Screeneze screening system, we were able to convey an open and airy feel within the porch. This is because Screeneze can span wider distances than traditional screening method delivering unobstructed views. Their tagline is Bringing the Outdoors In, and that is certainly what this screened method does.

Tapestries were originally meant to keep one's domicile warm or cool, depending on the time of year. With modern day air circulation, this highly prized skill set became obsolete. True to most nostalgic or artistianal forms of craftsmanship, tapestries, and tapestry weaving is a highly specialized, labor intensive form of art.

The renovation included a new Maax soaker bathtub, paired with upgraded bathtub and shower fixtures in a modern Tenzo Gun Metal finish. We also replaced the toilet with a Toto model for better performance and efficiency. For the vanity area, we installed a new vanity with storage from AHM Designers and completed the look with a Paloma vanity faucet by Tenzo in a matching Gun Metal finish. To brighten the space, pot lights were added and the vanity lighting was upgraded with a new fixture. Because ventilation is especially important in a basement bathroom, we also installed a new Panasonic exhaust fan to improve air circulation and moisture control. The transformation of this eye sore of a water heater closet was the perfect canvass for a transition to a useful wine storage room is complete with the addition of single-deep Wall Series wine racks and 3-bottle wide WS Presentation Rows (all by VintageView, in Brushed Nickel finish). The first step was installing continuous CertainTeed WinterGuard® ice and water shield across the roof decking followed by Benjamin Obdyke Cedar Breather matt to assure proper air circulation beneath the shingles. All valleys were flashed with 20 oz red copper.
