Their desire for lots of rock, was Fortuitous, as the site was in large part UNDER WATER, throughout much of the time we tried to work on it. Much of our efforts went into creating this rock base so that we could even lay planking down to walk on and wheel barrow many many cubic yards of additional rock and soil mix EVERYWHERE. With All Time Record Rainfall....it's amazing we were able to complete this project before drier weather that Summer.

The distinctive triangular shaped design of the Bayridge Residence was driven by the difficult steep sloped site, restrictive municipal bylaws and environmental setbacks. The design concept was to create a dramatic house built into the slope that presented as a single story on the street, while opening up to the view on the slope side. A self-contained infinity pool is accessed through the walk-out basement, providing amazing views of the Vancouver harbour.

We changed out the sliding doors and kept the original corner window to take full advantage of the amazing views.

Our Windmill Ranches residence was designed for an amazing family with a true passion for art and design. The BPI team designed and installed this space in the spring of 2014. The space includes an outdoor dining area with a step down into an outdoor room covered by a cedar pergola with a gas fire feature below. The space was designed on a 45degree angle to play off of the homes architecture and maximize useable green space for the kids. The addition of the levels in the space help to create unique spaces within the space as well as take advantage of the natural terrain of the site. This creative use of materials and textures really added amazing character to the space proving that a well thought out design can compensate for lack of size

This project was for a young professional who had no tolerance for clutter but boy does she love to read. From the first site visit, I had my heart set on the books she had. She loves colors and is not scared of them. Client from heaven… She rents a typical railroad house in Brooklyn and it came with its own challenges as far as laying out the space. LCM PLUS has partnered with the Department of Public Works to construct a new Adopt-A-Site within the traffic island at the intersection of the Lynn Fells Parkway with Bellevue Avenue. The open concept we used at the main level combined the kitchen, dining room, and 2 separate seating areas, all in one great space with sweeping ocean views. Even though each space is connected, the areas are well defined and are full of purpose. We deliberate on space planning and floor plan creation to ensure that ‘open concept’ is still refined and dignified. Nana Wall Door systems were used in the kitchen, family, dining areas and master bedroom in order to bring in the view and create the ideal indoor/outdoor living experiences. At the coast, we needed to use a product that could withstand the weathering, as well as offer superior clear openings, access to the numerous patios, and the cleanest site lines possible. This door system was the perfect compliment to this amazing home.

Archambault and the team combined talents with Foreshew Design with the same seamless success. “We worked with Alex Foreshew, the firm’s principal designer,” explains Mike. “He did a terrific job capturing the vision. We collaborated with their office to further streamline the final design.” This smooth correspondence ran consistently from design to job site. “The clients were amazing to work for,” says Jordan Berry, who was the site supervisor for the project. “The effective teamwork translated between all parties –the office, design team, client and crews on the ground.” This collective approach paid off in spades, creating a finished look that captured the ocean-inspired, Floridian look with on-point features like ample windows, Bermuda shutters, exposed rafter tails, a standing seam steel roof and white wood siding.

Overlooking of the surrounding meadows of the historic C Lazy U Ranch, this single family residence was carefully sited on a sloping site to maximize spectacular views of Willow Creek Resevoir and the Indian Peaks mountain range. The project was designed to fulfill budgetary and time frame constraints while addressing the client’s goal of creating a home that would become the backdrop for a very active and growing family for generations to come. In terms of style, the owners were drawn to more traditional materials and intimate spaces of associated with a cabin scale structure.
