Some homes carry history in their walls. This Georgetown townhome, the first married residence of JFK and Jackie Kennedy, asked for a staircase worthy of that history. The answer: a three-story elliptical stair that rises through the home with quiet authority, its custom handrail molded to follow the curve exactly, without compromise. This homeowner will require greater accessibility in future due to a degenerative condition. However it didn't mean that their home needed to announce disability issues because they installed an access ramp. The purpose of this tastefully designed entrance ramp was to provide functionality but just as important, curb appeal.

THE APARTMENT NEXT TO THE PARK It is not often the case that an architect has a chance to work for someone he knows well and truly likes. I was lucky to design the investor’s former apartment some years ago which was a big advantage. We kicked off with mutual trust and understanding. We both wanted to design a luxurious urban apartment for an active businesswoman. Four-storey apartment building was erected on the edge of one of Warsaw parks. The place, immersed in stunning nature, is only 10 minutes’ drive from the city center. It is an excellent, prestigious location. From east and south the 160 square meters apartment is surrounded by large terraces that enlarge available space by additional 60 square meters. From the level of the second floor the apartment overlooks heavily-wooded park with a picturesque lake and a hill with a ski-lift. Living area of this open to three sides apartment is penetrated by the sun from dusk till dawn. The budget was considerable because of high standards of solutions used by the developer, particularly ventilation and heating installations as well as smart installation in KNX standard. The photo shoots and the publication (CZAS NA WNĘTRZE 10/2019) were a great pleasure. I am also pleased to announce: "...Architect Roland Stanczyk (RS Studio Projektowe) has won The European Property Award in the category of Interior Design Apartment with “The Apartment Next to the Park”. We are pleased to announce that we were awarded the 2015 Best Kitchen Renovation by the Harrisburg Builders Association for our project completed in the summer of 2014. Teresa & Duane Brunot wanted to update their small 1980's kitchen. With the help of our talented designer, Tracy West, and ideas found on Houzz.com, the Brunot's created their dream kitchen. Our "exceptional crew" was able to bring the design to life with traditional raised panel doors with rope molding and glaze. Countertop selections include Napoli, Rainforest, and Atlantis granite. A custom made mantle was added between the built-in bookshelves. A beautiful wet bar was added to also improve the living space. Photos by: Elliot Quintin "I met Tracy West through a friend of mine. I emailed Tracy and the very next day we had an appointment. We met with Tracy several times before we signed our contract. She never tired of all of our questions, emails, texts and pictures of ideas that we found on Houzz. I've spoken to Brandon O'Hanlon several times and no matter what I asked for, he made a way for it to happen. He is very personable and professional. O'Hanlon Kitchens took our ideas and made it happen. They took my very small 1980's kitchen and turned it into a beautiful open floor plan kitchen. Not only did they do my kitchen, they also replaced my 1980's brick fireplace with a custom mantle (from a picture I found on Houzz) and added built-ins on either side. And it didn't stop there. They also added a wet bar in the room that we like to call the Parlor. I couldn't be happier with my new home. I love coming home and cooking now. This gorgeous, serene nursery for this very much Loved new baby would need to have all the necessary amenities and easily be converted into a regular bedroom. My Client had an image of elephants as the father grew up with bedtime stories of Babar. The challenged was the size of the room only 94 sq. feet. And it would have to be transformed into a regular bedroom once the child was older. I was able to find high quality , beautiful classic furniture that also serves as double duty. Once the child would be old enough the crib can transform into a queen bed, and the removable part of the changing table becomes a 6 drawer dresser. The paintable wall paper color can be changed as well as all accessories. I believe in good quality furniture that can be passed down or converted. Yes it is more expensive but in the long run, classic pieces such as these can last a life time. Created by the concept of elephant accessories and soft pastel colors. Soft texture wallpaper and loads of storage used in an elegant way, This nursery will stand the test of time from 1 month to 18 years . One month before the birth of the child my clients found out they were getting a baby boy. He was born October 03, measuring 45cm and weighing 6.5 pounds. Inspiration for a craftsman home design remodel in Los Angeles

This may sound odd but sometimes when a project is finished it feels so obvious and natural that you wonder what could have been there before. Heritage ironwork and lighting border the front yard. A new walkway visually frames the main doorway. Pool equipment is screened by a combination of brick walling, wooden doors and iron work. A stone arch announces the entrance to the backyard while stone walling dotted with carving inlays supports a hand hued oak arbor. Reclaimed 100 year old brick pavers border the pool. At the rear of the yard a pavilion can be found with a beautiful Rumford fireplace....
