These clients were looking for a designer/builder that would handle everything from concept to completion, providing peace of mind for themselves! “Working alongside Renovisions was a pleasant experience” said our clients as we cared to understand their vision, needs, wants and desires, enabling us to execute their projects successfully and professionally.
During the design phase, our well-organized staff listened to the client’s requests and combined several design elements that produced a beautiful, calming and transitional feel to the new kitchen space.
During the remodel phase, the clients had these top 5 items on the list of enhancements:
* High- functioning ventilation to clear as much odors as possible
(When we first met with the clients, they stated, “Something very fishy was going on in their outdated kitchen. Although they enjoyed cooking fish dinners, they fishy odors often annoyed them)! Renovisions designed and installed a wood hood in matching light gray painted finish with a hood liner that provided the maximum ventilation, while staying within the proper building code of a 350cfm air exchange, without having to add a make -up air system which would have added to the cost of the project.
*Better functioning ‘Spinner Storage’ for interior storage. The clients loved them in their old kitchen; we furnished and installed new and better-quality spinners storage units.
*A unique opening between the kitchen and family room that allowed homeowners to pass meals through as they enjoyed a movie from the family room.
*A Smart-Divide porcelain enamel sink with stainless steel grids allow plenty of room for dirty dishes, pots and pans as well as separate areas to prep and wash dishes as needed.
* Anti-glare finishes were a must have for these clients; kitchen cabinetry in a matte gray neutral finish, faucet and cabinet hardware in a matte black finish and stunning Cambria quartz countertops in a suede finish set the stage.
At completion phase, homeowners were ensured that they were receiving high-quality products, style and craftmanship in the most efficient time frame and were thrilled with look of their new kitchen that also provided plenty of prep, entertaining and seating space.
The clients attributes the success of the design to the emotions it inspired when the job was completed – they simply love everything about it!

The issues that annoyed the family in this condo are common to new condo units: Low ceilings covered with a popcorn finish, small rooms, low light in the bedrooms and living room, and no ceiling light fixtures. Concrete ceilings are not only difficult to drill into to install fixtures, installing wiring behind them for such fixtures is impossible. There are often conduits for building services embedded in the concrete along with structural steel reinforcements, so drilling without x-raying first is dangerous.
Laqfoil stretch ceiling provided a solution to all of these issues for this condo unit. A high gloss finish was chosen, as the reflections visually double the height of the space. Installing a stretch ceiling also naturally conceals the popcorn ceiling behind it, but in this case, was also used to conceal the wiring necessary to add ceiling lights in every room. The wiring was simply attached to the existing popcorn ceiling. Laqfoil stretch ceiling is supported around the perimeter only, by tracks, or profiles which are only about 0.75" thick. The ceiling membrane itself is less than one millimetre thick.
We also added a small vector graphic, printed in each corner of the living room ceiling, for a unique aesthetic effect.
We constructed a suspended bulkhead above the island and covered it with red high gloss membrane, to visually separate the kitchen and living room while keeping the design's open concept. This also provided a supporting structure for 3 mini chandelier pendant lights.
A red rose depicted on a black and white textured ground was chosen for the kitchen ceiling and applied using digital wide format printing technology, to tie the red, black and white colour scheme with the kitchen cabinets' texture.

This was a builder-grade primary bathroom and closet with dated finishes, an awkward layout and annoying doors that swung into the walkways. It was time to give these spaces a complete overhaul to create a retreat that was both functional and luxurious.
Our clients wanted to improve traffic flow, storage space and eliminate the tub they knew they’d never use. This is the second home for our clients who live in California. They bought this house to have a place to stay when visiting their grandchildren.
As the design process started, Covid-19 shutdowns threatened to derail the entire project. We quickly pivoted to a virtual design process to keep the project moving forward toward completion.

This upscale Condo had a Master bath that was anything but upscale. The molded plastic shower stall with "integrated molded bench" and gold colored shower door wall, were a constant annoyance for the owner. The molded plastic theme carried over to the vanity top with an "integrated molded sink". The large plate glass mirror completed the look.
We constructed an custom shower stall with a tile base, large format porcelain tile walls, a custom bench with a quartz seat, and a recessed niche with a matching quartz sill. The shower wall and door are now frameless "heavy" glass, and all of the plumbing fixtures are top of the line. The vitreous china sink is mounted under a rich quartz vanity top, and a large recessed medicine cabinet with LED light bars integrated into the mirror adorns the wall.

The home's semi-original kitchen (it's been through a few remodels) had a very similar layout, but didn't allow enough walkway space to flow nicely. We moved a few corners and adjusted angles-- in the counter top leading to the built in hutch, especially-- stopping the annoying bottlenecking that used to happen.

Cabinets: We can create custom rollout drawers for those pesky deep kitchen cabinets, helpful especially on the lower shelves, as an easy way to easily access those hard to see items all the way in the back.
Pantry: Kitchen organization bins can get expensive! A cheaper option is using metal or plastic file folders to store items like snacks, awkward bagged items, rolls of Pringles and more.
Pans: Another cheaper solution is a metal file organizer to easily divide and store all your baking pans. Or while we are creating your custom kitchen, we can build these for you!
Utensils: Ladles, spatulas, tongs and the like can be annoying in drawers when they get stuck, but you don’t want them on your countertop either. One solution is hanging a bar on your backsplash with hooks to easily store and reach utensils while cooking.

Fumbling around a multitude of spice jars, bottles, and containers to find the right one can be an exercise in frustration. And having them fall onto the counter or floor is down-right annoying. SSKC has the perfect answer to your spice storage dilemma with our Spice Tray Drawer Inserts and Door Mount Spice Rack. Now you can display and organize an assortment of spices and make it super easy to find just the spice you are looking for. Spice organizers feature solid Birch plywood construction and durable clear UV coating.

Alta TriLight Honeycomb Shades & Alta Vertical Honeycomb Shade. Pair a sheer pleated shade with a honeycomb or 2" Hybrid Pleat and keep the view while eliminating annoying glare, UV rays and that new neighbor.

Many of our followers might be (wrongfully) thinking, "What if I don't think thatch is right for my backyard?" Or "I love thatch but my annoying spouse doesn't." If that happens to be the case, you no longer have to fret. MTR believes in inclusion. We have something for everyone. We also build structures with no thatch, but if we do, then we want to make sure it's still an impressive, beautiful, and unique addition to your patio. For instance, look at this majestic pergola of 1,100 sqft... We customized it with the 8" diameter yellow pine round posts to give it a truly unique look.
Even if your backyard doesn't look like a nature park, we can find something perfect for your patio. We love adding the round posts which is not the typical look. It gives it a modern and sleek look. And with the addition of the Manila rope at the bottom it gives it a completely different look!
t really is an art and a craft to build a structure like this one. The way each piece of wood is perfectly and geometrically placed is an art form. The craziest part is that the builders don't build based off formulas or engineered drawings; they build off experience and pure brain and on the spot thinking. We're lucky to have the people we work with love this learned and lived trade.

Every kitchen has one or two things that just don’t work well—the kinds of things that bug and annoy like a lone mosquito hovering over your head at night. However, in this case, after 5 long years, there were so many things that were not working—from appliances to sightlines to work space—that these Maple Grove homeowners had finally had enough.
As they put it, “We just wanted to love our kitchen.” And that meant for the first time ever!
