The owners of this condo bathroom wanted to bring in as much light as possible. In order to achieve this, we had to take down a wall between the toilet and shower. But, they also wanted two shower heads. We used a shower pipe set up on 1/2" glass to accomplish this goal. The water supply pipes come up out of the floor on the outside of the shower and connect with the external valve on the other side of the glass. Custom metal pieces were used to make the seamless connection.

Although the changes we made to this house aren't readily apparent, there were some big ones. The existing house had a large gable end over the recessed entry supported by a pair of columns and pilasters. Our goal was the simplify and modernize the house to give it a more contemporary feel without losing the spirit of the original house.

When entering this luxury apartment, the first thing you notice is certain to be this beautiful carpet in the center of the hallway. The carpet is in full harmony with both the brown floor, abstract paintings by contemporary artists, as well as white walls.
As you can notice the hallway looks spacious thanks to the presence of the most necessary furniture pieces here including a few big beautifully designed wardrobes.

The Porch House sits perched overlooking a stretch of the Yellowstone River valley. With an expansive view of the majestic Beartooth Mountain Range and its close proximity to renowned fishing on Montana’s Stillwater River you have the beginnings of a great Montana retreat. This structural insulated panel (SIP) home effortlessly fuses its sustainable features with carefully executed design choices into a modest 1,200 square feet. The SIPs provide a robust, insulated envelope while maintaining optimal interior comfort with minimal effort during all seasons. A twenty foot vaulted ceiling and open loft plan aided by proper window and ceiling fan placement provide efficient cross and stack ventilation. A custom square spiral stair, hiding a wine cellar access at its base, opens onto a loft overlooking the vaulted living room through a glass railing with an apparent Nordic flare. The “porch” on the Porch House wraps 75% of the house affording unobstructed views in all directions. It is clad in rusted cold-rolled steel bands of varying widths with patterned steel “scales” at each gable end. The steel roof connects to a 3,600 gallon rainwater collection system in the crawlspace for site irrigation and added fire protection given the remote nature of the site. Though it is quite literally at the end of the road, the Porch House is the beginning of many new adventures for its owners.

Before, the built-in shelving was lost in this round study. By painting the piece a darker, contrasting color and covering the back panel with a metallic underlay grasscloth, it is visually more of a furniture piece. The moroccan accents in the design are more apparent and the client's personal items from his travels are showcased.

Intentional. Elevated. Artisanal.
With three children under the age of 5, our clients were starting to feel the confines of their Pacific Heights home when the expansive 1902 Italianate across the street went on the market. After learning the home had been recently remodeled, they jumped at the chance to purchase a move-in ready property. We worked with them to infuse the already refined, elegant living areas with subtle edginess and handcrafted details, and also helped them reimagine unused space to delight their little ones.
Elevated furnishings on the main floor complement the home’s existing high ceilings, modern brass bannisters and extensive walnut cabinetry. In the living room, sumptuous emerald upholstery on a velvet side chair balances the deep wood tones of the existing baby grand. Minimally and intentionally accessorized, the room feels formal but still retains a sharp edge—on the walls moody portraiture gets irreverent with a bold paint stroke, and on the the etagere, jagged crystals and metallic sculpture feel rugged and unapologetic. Throughout the main floor handcrafted, textured notes are everywhere—a nubby jute rug underlies inviting sofas in the family room and a half-moon mirror in the living room mixes geometric lines with flax-colored fringe.
On the home’s lower level, we repurposed an unused wine cellar into a well-stocked craft room, with a custom chalkboard, art-display area and thoughtful storage. In the adjoining space, we installed a custom climbing wall and filled the balance of the room with low sofas, plush area rugs, poufs and storage baskets, creating the perfect space for active play or a quiet reading session. The bold colors and playful attitudes apparent in these spaces are echoed upstairs in each of the children’s imaginative bedrooms.

The interior of this home blurs the line between modern and traditional, forging a relaxed living environment. The arched, copper porch, which features Eldorado Stone’s modern LedgeCut33, creates an inviting presentation with its continuous linear pattern displayed throughout this residence. Additionally, Eldorado Stone’s Sage LegdeCut33 adds a modern element with its lines while its cool color palette blends into the surrounding elements, which allows the home to reveal itself progressively.
