A fresh and modern vision for English country living with exacting attention to custom details such as herringbone floors, lamp shades, drapery and a custom-built banquette that provides a hint of the modern in the midst of classic country refinement. From arresting open-back chairs curated for their sculptural quality to carefully rusticated wall finishes that provide a palette for aged-glass mirrors flanking the entrance to the library, no small detail is left unattended. Design inspiration for this petite living room emerged from an emphasis on creating compelling vistas and marrying form and function between this little charmer and its adjoining library, foyer and dining room. For a client who required a fresh take on the charm and subtle sophistication of an English country living room without any of the stuffiness, only the most impeccable design choices would suffice. Simple, yet creative: that was the goal for this art-loving client’s powder room. The aesthetic was achieved by crafting a Soho loft vibe with mixed materials, black accents, and Edison-style, laser-etched crystal bulbs. Circular shapes emerged as a recurring theme, beginning with the handmade paper art specified for the space, extending to the light pendants, and culminating in the visually arresting sink.

Inspired by recollections of childhood whimsical toys, our Pinwheel collection uses recycled aluminum that has been cut and twisted into mini pinwheels and attached to a simple sphere. The effect is elegant, aerodynamic, arresting…and breezy! Also, changing moods is as easy as changing the bulbs - try amber or other colored bulbs for festive occasions.

A modern outdoor kitchen with traditional roots. Korean Boxwood, Nikko Deutzia, and Annabelle Hydrangea accent the stone facades of the outdoor kitchen living areas. The stone chimney is topped with a stainless-steel spark arrester. Vista Low Voltage LED walkway lights illuminate the walkway in the evening. White concrete counter tops cover all the stone outdoor kitchen walls. The Viking grill is surrounded by expansive white concrete counter tops.

Simple flat front cabinetry was selected for this kitchen, with a compact and functional L-shaped layout.. This space was the former dining area of the townhouse and overlooks the one-and-a half storey entry hall. We kept the opening to allow for maximum light, finishing off the ledge with the same Caesarstone as on the countertop. An over-sized canvas provides an arresting view while working. Note how the unusual placement of brackets supporting open shelves creates a Mondrian-like effect.
