In essence, a dark teal picket mosaic was used for the kitchen backsplash running horizontally through the cabinets and picked up in the island. Finally, this kitchen has an abundant amount of storage with floor to ceiling cabinets. This kitchen is a remarkable showcase.

This building includes three and four stories of apartment development on 20 acres of land. Indoor and outdoor common areas are designed to foster experiences that encourage social relationships, wellness and life-long learning. Food service equipment, processes and even menus are all created to provide extraordinary dining experiences in bistros, restaurants and casual venues. So when doing this project i knew i didn't want grout in the shower, then what are my options for something that looks timeless, would stand up to years of soaps, shampoo and still look great in years to come.
I had seen these sheets of porcelain from Spain at a trade show a number of years ago, it seemed that for my own bath it was a good project to give them a try. These are available in different sizes and thicknesses and i am really happy with them.
The cast iron bath tub with an antiqued chrome wrap is the Whitby from Penhaglion, it sits in front of the window which has an opaque small patterned film covering the once clear glass. The bath and sink faucets, come from Penhaglion, that I have to say is an amazing company to work with. Heated floors in the bath and shower area as well as a Toto toilet, all pulled together with a vintage sideboard that was refinished to suite the plumbing of the 2 drop in sinks.

Cork floors installed throughout give the home a warm and eco-friendly foundation. Pine-cones, tree trunk cookies, plants and lots of unstained wood make the family's focus on nature clear. Non-slip flooring combined with Nuance wall panelling create a stylish but easy to maintain bathroom. Modern grey tiles and mother of pearl effect mosaics complete the look. Assistive features such as modern grab bars, supportive seat & low level cupboard & storage basket make the room practical.
ROAM ArchitectureUpdating a modern classic
These clients adore their home’s location, nestled within a 2-1/2 acre site largely wooded and abutting a creek and nature preserve. They contacted us with the intent of repairing some exterior and interior issues that were causing deterioration, and needed some assistance with the design and selection of new exterior materials which were in need of replacement.
Our new proposed exterior includes new natural wood siding, a stone base, and corrugated metal. New entry doors and new cable rails completed this exterior renovation.
Additionally, we assisted these clients resurrect an existing pool cabana structure and detached 2-car garage which had fallen into disrepair. The garage / cabana building was renovated in the same aesthetic as the main house.

MEGAProsThe theme for this remodel was "Aging with My Home." Our team dedicated their efforts to creating a space that is both functional and safe for an elderly client. The bathroom now features a zero-threshold shower with a built-in bench, elegantly finished with MSI Veneto Gray, non-slip tiles that extend to the flooring in both the bathroom and hallway. We also included a second, lower, retractable shower head for added convenience. The updated cabinetry and makeup station drawers are topped with sleek MSI Gray Lagoon quartz countertops. Additionally, the remodel incorporates a Toto SE500 washlet with a remote control and a Décor Assist Tissue Holder with a built-in grab bar.

It’s saving grace was:
1. It’s enthusiastic new homeowners.
2. The expansive and gorgeous views of Okanagan Lake.
We were asked to assist our clients with big-picture-planning for their newest investment property.
Upon initial walk through of the home, it was immediately evident there were many previous ‘bandaid-type’ updates that it had gone through over the years.
This house was in prime need of an overhaul inside and out:
- multiple dropped Ceilings with layers of Plumbing add ons
- wall to wall Carpet
-a tired Bathtub directly inside the Master Bedroom
- a “dreaded” Corner Kitchen Sink
-multiple add ons involving three confusing front entry doors
Discovering what was previously done and the quandary of why these things were done is always so interesting to discover and can be very overwhelming for clients.
A big part of what we love most about Design is helping to propose new ideas to revitalize and improve all that has come before. It is one of the most challenging and rewarding parts of our work.
Our Renovation Strategy began in Layout Design for optimizing Interior & Exterior flow, moving into Concept & Style Planning, Millwork and Finish Selections.
We then created an ordered implementation sequence which would allow the homeowners to live on one floor while the other was being renovated Later they would move to the finished floor and renovate the remaining areas.
Once complete, the home quickly sold and we look forwards to assisting these happy investors on their next endeavour.
