Inspiration for a mid-sized 1950s gray one-story house exterior remodel with a shingle roof

This client has wonderful taste and loved the look of combining a dark fabric with a light fabric, and also having the top portion of the draperies out of a sheer fabric. The drapery panels are mounted on the wall in front of the bay so that we could attain additional height and width for drama. On the three windows inside the bay, we installed natural woven shade valances to complete the look. Well Dressed Windows, Solon, OH

Small space living solutions are used throughout this contemporary 596 square foot tiny house. Adjustable height table in the entry area serves as both a coffee table for socializing and as a dining table for eating. Curved banquette is upholstered in outdoor fabric for durability and maximizes space with hidden storage underneath the seat. Kitchen island has a retractable countertop for additional seating while the living area conceals a work desk and media center behind sliding shoji screens. Calming tones of sand and deep ocean blue fill the tiny bedroom downstairs. Glowing bedside sconces utilize wall-mounting and swing arms to conserve bedside space and maximize flexibility.

Custom Quonset Huts become artist live/work spaces, aesthetically and functionally bridging a border between industrial and residential zoning in a historic neighborhood. The open space on the main floor is designed to be flexible for artists to pursue their creative path. Upstairs, a living space helps to make creative pursuits in an expensive city more attainable. The two-story buildings were custom-engineered to achieve the height required for the second floor. End walls utilized a combination of traditional stick framing with autoclaved aerated concrete with a stucco finish. Steel doors were custom-built in-house.

The front yard landscape relies on a calm pallet of whites and greens, in order to attain the retained sensibility and contemplative aspects of Japanese design.

This bachelor's wall hung vanity has lighting underneath and was designed in ebonized quarter sawn oak to match the walk in closets of this closet-master bath suite. The closet-master bath suite was conceived by melding an existing bathroom and two closets in this East Bay penthouse along the San Francisco Bay. The Last Inch designed and built the closet-master bathroom suite's cabinetry, including the creation of a custom blend of leather dyes to attain the client's desired chocolate brown finish.
