Photo by Bruce Frame. Prior to the extensive renovation of this area, seating space was extremely limited, as were the views to outside (see other photos for the results!). Now, this contemporary/transitional space with custom built-ins can accommodate the deliciously comfortable sofa with a chaise and two chic striped armless chairs so the couple can entertain more and enjoy it more. Instead of attempting to mask or blend the different dimensions of the ceiling heights, including the coffer, we accentuated them with slightly differing hues of color, which is brought together by subtleties of the new flooring.

This couple had recently retired from Toronto to the country, and their new home was an attempt to combine their modern tastes with their new rustic environment. Building their house on a scale for two put the stairwell in the living room, and it was important that the railing both match and accentuate the clean, rustic aesthetic. We settled on panels of winter branches, framed by wooden posts and rails. Light and welcoming organic shapes.

Inspired by the movie Chimpanzee, the artwork is a humble attempt to bring focus on the beauty and the vulnerability on this animal.

At the end of 2012, Danberry came across what was then a rundown home in the Casco Point neighborhood of Orono, in desperate need of some design help. A failed attempt by the previous owner to remodel it as an investment had left it abandoned for years. But when the Danberry’s got a glimpse of this diamond in the rough, they knew it had potential. The project included a completely remodeled kitchen, bathroom, basement and living room.

The Ossido line stems from a wager against time, in an attempt to crystallise a material at a specific point in its life and have it stay that way forever. Specifically, it entails the reproduction of a oxidation process on slabs of copper and metal, which generates a very strong and rich colour, yet which inevitably disappears as the oxidation process progresses.

Our attempt at a North Shore Boston Victorian-era Dining Room. Although we do not entertain a lot, the room is very visible and was worth a complete overhaul from 1990s-era decor. We were propelled by a burst cast-iron pipe in the winter of 2021! The project is almost done now, just waiting for a 19th century sofa to be added (after its much-needed re-upholstery). Will update in early April with better photos.

Vorrath Woodworks completely refurbished these Swedish made mid century modern swivel base club chairs. The new East Indian rosewood veneers are even more stunning than the original. Someone attempted a refinish job on the original wood using an orbital sander and left the backs destroyed. We purchased new veneer to bring these beauties back to their original glory. All new foam and fabric round out the restoration job.

This silk area rug had suffered heavy staining in one section approximately 5 inches in diameter. After several failed attempts by the client to remove the stain with grocery cleaning agents, the client gave us a call. The area rug was an expensive purchase and the client's were clearly distraught about what had happened to their rug. After working with our team of master area rug cleaning experts, we were successful in removing the stain. Take a look at the before and after photos.

This "Great Room" was created by removing walls between the kitchen, bedroom and hallway. New windows and a french door connect it to the new screened in porch. The color scheme for this large space was to be a dreamy, lake inspired blue and white. Once most things were installed it was clear that the room felt too "floaty", or airy. In Feng Shui language there was too much Chi moving through the space. We are attempting to help the space feel more anchored by introducing some more color (The persimmon colored rug, the console table table which was an old sleigh, plants and bolder artwork.
