It sits on a five acre parcel up high on a mountain that has commanding views of the entire Puget Sound, including Brentwood Bay, the Gulf Islands, Mount Baker, Victoria, and the Olympic Mountains. There is built-in cabinetry in almost every room of the house. This home is built to be timeless with its light colour-scheme. All cabinetry, rooms and countertops are white and the multitude of windows bring in natural light and show off the surroundings.

Rock outcroppings make a striking background for new lounge areas in this compact Los Angeles hillside garden. Working with the attributes of the site, we added native plants to drape over the stone, and converted hollowed stone planters into a firepit and water feature. By DESIGN we achieved soft balanced and glare-free daylighting, comfortable temperatures via passive solar control measures, energy efficiency without reliance on maintenance-intensive Green “gizmos” and lower exterior maintenance. The client’s desire for a healthy, comfortable and fun home to raise a young family and to accommodate extended visitor stays, while being environmentally responsible through “high performance” building attributes, was met. Harmonious response to the site’s micro-climate, excellent Indoor Air Quality, enhanced natural ventilation strategies, and an elegant bug-free semi-outdoor “living room” that connects one to the outdoors are a few examples of the architect’s approach to Green by Design that results in a home that exceeds the expectations of its owners. This home in Montgomery, TX was designed in Transitional Style, which blends a variety of different styles together to create a timeless look that’s all its own. Because there is a mix of both traditional and contemporary design, furniture chosen features straight and sophisticated lines as well as curvy lines. Pieces like chairs and sofas balance both masculine and feminine attributes to create a welcoming ambiance. Lighting we used are sleek, much like sofas, tables and chairs. Materials and finishes chosen are a mix of velvets, linens, wood and a touch of concrete to add modern vibe to the room. We mixed neutral pallet of the window treatments and a rug with bold colors and patterns of furniture and accessories to bring in the “wow” factor into the space. In the end, we created a gorgeous, bold, cozy and functional space that incorporates styles and tastes the clients desired.

The Prairie View project completely transformed the back outdoor living space and enhanced the curb appeal in the front of the property. A beautifully crafted deck now features a fire pit and also heating and cooling attributes to allow this space to be enjoyed year-round, along with the assistance of a roof addition. The under-decking system protects the patio below from moisture, making it the ideal location to cook even during inclement weather. The meticulously crafted walkway, illuminated retaining walls, and entryway were the perfect finishes to tie this transformation together.

The design project of the studio is in white. The white version of the interior decoration allows to visually expanding the space. The dark wooden floor counterbalances the light space and favorably shades. The layout of the room is conventionally divided into functional zones. The kitchen area is presented in a combination of white and black. It looks stylish and aesthetically pleasing. Monophonic facades, made to match the walls. The color of the kitchen working wall is a deep dark color, which looks especially impressive with backlighting. The bar counter makes a conditional division between the kitchen and the living room. The main focus of the center of the composition is a round table with metal legs. Fits organically into a restrained but elegant interior.
