This clean modern south Oakville Ontario remodel proves you don’t need to move
to a condo to completely update your surroundings.
These Oakville empty nesters with an active social life aren't interested in “fuddy-duddy” decor.
On the contrary, they are interested in the latest design trends, as well as the most current audio/visual components.
The original stone fireplace was updated with a custom designed mantle and a new gas insert. The updated warm grey
colour palette balances the natural stone making it an inviting focal point. The interior design included reconfiguring the room layout. Originally a smaller TV was located in-between the window and the fireplace and the sofa was where the current cabinet is now.
Our new layout opens up the room taking full advantage of it’s size. The sumptuous sectional allows for relaxed tete a tete
evenings as well as seating for larger groups. The additional leather occasional chair completes the conversation circle too. We naturally selected fabrics that are family friendly to ensure the grandchildren and adults can all be at ease. The flexibility of the 3
piece coffee table is both practical and adds an element of modern artistry. Grounding the room is a carpet graphic grey animal
skin custom sized into an area rug. Components as well as miscellaneous items are easily stored in the customised wood cabinet.

Our Louisville clients were proud new home owners who were excited to move into their home and start personalizing! We created a transitional design for their home that incorporates modern touches and classic lines to tie the spaces together. Our primary focus was to update the home and keep things feeling clean and fresh while making it comfortable for everyone in the family. We started by painting every room in their home, replacing all of their interior doors, and updating all of their light fixtures. One of the most transformative elements was the updated flooring throughout the home. We removed the oak floors and replaced them with a wide plank solid hickory which removed the yellow undertones and gave them a clean backdrop for the rest of the design. The clients really wanted to freshen up their kitchen and incorporate new appliances without starting from scratch, so we rearranged a few of their existing cabinets to make room for their new stove and range hood. We also lowered the original bar-height counter to make the kitchen feel more open to their family room. We then painted all of their cabinets a crisp white, replaced the crown molding, updated the hardware, replaced their counter top with a marble look quartz, and used a soft green mosaic tile on their backsplash. This home has a large family room, and the original fireplace was far too small and seemed to disappear under the 20 foot ceilings. So we removed the old square fireplace, replacing it with a linear gas fireplace and a floor-to-ceiling tiled surround with a custom wood mantle. This created a real focal point and helped to anchor the space. We then brought in a cozy blue sectional and a soft new rug to make this the perfect place for a family movie night. The clients have a real love of music, and wanted to create a space where they could lay back and enjoy their vinyls. So in their family room we created a custom stereo wall with floating cabinets and shelves to house all of their audio equipment and showcase a few of their favorites. We then furnished the room with clean and classically inspired pieces to tie in with the aesthetics in the rest of the home.

This unique space in lower-Manhattan offers sweeping views to the east, west and south. The loft had been gut-renovated in the 1980s, but was in need of updating. Modern finishes, luxurious furnishings and technology upgrades were made throughout the apartment. Included in the re-fresh was a luxurious new master bathroom with a two-person walk-in shower, a soaking tub with a dramatic city view, heated marble floors and an integrated television in the vanity mirror. In the kitchen, the custom cabinetry remained in place, but new countertops, backsplash, lighting and appliances were added. Electric shades, integrated lighting and audio/video systems completed the renovation.

A great space to prepare a meal, socialize, and watch a movie. What looks like a simple angled design island contains a few clever storage elements. To the left of the cooktop is an angled door and an angled drawer. No Lazy Susan needed as the door opens fully with no stile. And the drawer is shaped like an arrow and pulls all the way out.

This 12,000 sq. ft. luxury estate residence in Weston was outfitted with a fully integrated smart home system designed for both elegance and ease of use. The project features seamless integration of Lutron and Control4, delivering centralized control over lighting, shading, and security.
High-end lighting fixtures were carefully selected and programmed to enhance architectural elements while creating adaptable ambiance throughout the home. A comprehensive surveillance system was also installed to ensure security without compromising aesthetics.
Strategically placed Lutron Palladiom Keypads are installed throughout the residence, offering intuitive access to customized lighting scenes and effortless control of motorized shades. These keypads blend refined design with advanced functionality, allowing for a seamless and sophisticated user experience. #lighting #luxuryhomes #interiordesign #smarthomes #motorizedshades @dawbuilders @alldigitalautomation @lutronelectronics @apurelighting @control4
