This clean modern south Oakville Ontario remodel proves you don’t need to move
to a condo to completely update your surroundings.
These Oakville empty nesters with an active social life aren't interested in “fuddy-duddy” decor.
On the contrary, they are interested in the latest design trends, as well as the most current audio/visual components.
The original stone fireplace was updated with a custom designed mantle and a new gas insert. The updated warm grey
colour palette balances the natural stone making it an inviting focal point. The interior design included reconfiguring the room layout. Originally a smaller TV was located in-between the window and the fireplace and the sofa was where the current cabinet is now.
Our new layout opens up the room taking full advantage of it’s size. The sumptuous sectional allows for relaxed tete a tete
evenings as well as seating for larger groups. The additional leather occasional chair completes the conversation circle too. We naturally selected fabrics that are family friendly to ensure the grandchildren and adults can all be at ease. The flexibility of the 3
piece coffee table is both practical and adds an element of modern artistry. Grounding the room is a carpet graphic grey animal
skin custom sized into an area rug. Components as well as miscellaneous items are easily stored in the customised wood cabinet.

A great space to prepare a meal, socialize, and watch a movie. What looks like a simple angled design island contains a few clever storage elements. To the left of the cooktop is an angled door and an angled drawer. No Lazy Susan needed as the door opens fully with no stile. And the drawer is shaped like an arrow and pulls all the way out.

The interior renovation began with the master bath, which included a glass-partitioned bathtub accented by glass shelving. A drop ceiling that is highlighted by recessed lighting fixtures and finished with minimal trim. The half wall mirror houses a hidden large plasma TV wall screen with audio/visual and remote control elements. The sleek white marble flooring in the hallway leads to a refinished deco staircase and handrail. “Museum” quality paint throughout and refined custom-millwork calls attention to the grand feel of the space.
On the exterior, Empire City Construction repointed new mortar joints (cement lines) and replaced decaying bricks in the archways and walls of the corner patio. Preserving the classic hexagon bays and European style arches in this setback terrace of the penthouse suite.

Embrace the enchanting chronicle of this countryside farmhouse's extraordinary metamorphosis, where rustic allure is artfully reimagined into a realm of timeless elegance and modern sophistication. Marvel at the carefully curated evolution, from the locally milled white oak floors and vaulted ceilings to the breathtaking addition of exquisite wall coverings, each brushstroke of design exuding refined charm.
The master bath emerges as a luxurious retreat, meticulously renovated to embrace modern luxuries and cutting-edge comfort. Heated floors bestow a comforting touch, while a freestanding soaker tub invites moments of indulgence and relaxation in this new oasis of opulence.
Stepping onto the private master balcony, an awe-inspiring panorama unfolds, overlooking the scenic farm pasture land that has been masterfully incorporated into the home's harmonious surroundings.
Sustainability takes center stage in this resplendent transformation, as solar panels, expertly integrated, herald a greener, eco-conscious era. Smart lighting and audio systems intertwine with architectural brilliance, immersing the farmhouse in contemporary convenience and style.
Every element of the renovation is an ode to Whole Living, creating a sanctuary where well-being and cherished memories flourish hand in hand. From the artful curation of ID.ology Interiors & Design to the final touch of Atelier Maison & Co.'s expert furnishings, this once modest farmhouse stands reborn, an extraordinary testament to the art of renovation and the embodiment of timeless allure.

Our Louisville clients were proud new home owners who were excited to move into their home and start personalizing! We created a transitional design for their home that incorporates modern touches and classic lines to tie the spaces together. Our primary focus was to update the home and keep things feeling clean and fresh while making it comfortable for everyone in the family. We started by painting every room in their home, replacing all of their interior doors, and updating all of their light fixtures. One of the most transformative elements was the updated flooring throughout the home. We removed the oak floors and replaced them with a wide plank solid hickory which removed the yellow undertones and gave them a clean backdrop for the rest of the design. The clients really wanted to freshen up their kitchen and incorporate new appliances without starting from scratch, so we rearranged a few of their existing cabinets to make room for their new stove and range hood. We also lowered the original bar-height counter to make the kitchen feel more open to their family room. We then painted all of their cabinets a crisp white, replaced the crown molding, updated the hardware, replaced their counter top with a marble look quartz, and used a soft green mosaic tile on their backsplash. This home has a large family room, and the original fireplace was far too small and seemed to disappear under the 20 foot ceilings. So we removed the old square fireplace, replacing it with a linear gas fireplace and a floor-to-ceiling tiled surround with a custom wood mantle. This created a real focal point and helped to anchor the space. We then brought in a cozy blue sectional and a soft new rug to make this the perfect place for a family movie night. The clients have a real love of music, and wanted to create a space where they could lay back and enjoy their vinyls. So in their family room we created a custom stereo wall with floating cabinets and shelves to house all of their audio equipment and showcase a few of their favorites. We then furnished the room with clean and classically inspired pieces to tie in with the aesthetics in the rest of the home.

Rich burgundy fabrics and elaborate gold trim accents comprise this classic art deco home theater located in southeastern Pennsylvania. Media Rooms worked very closely with our client to design, fabricate, install the décor, install the audio video, and bring our client’s dream to reality. There was an unused, unfinished section of the home’s lower level. Media Rooms framed and drywalled the space, designed the interior and fabricated the décor elements (columns, moldings, proscenium, back bar) in our in-house cabinet shop. The motorized reclining chairs, supplied by Media Rooms, are covered with a custom fabric. One of the many unique features in this room is the proscenium (wall that contains the screen and surrounding décor) which is built a couple feet off the wall. By moving the curtains on the left or right sides of the screen, the homeowner can access house mechanicals that are attached to the wall behind the screen. The room has a 4K laser video projector, a nine speaker Dolby Atmos sound system (all the speakers are hidden) and two subwoofers.
