In this angle, we see how extensively previous leaks damaged the window frames. More importantly, this photo shows how different roof levels work together. Many gutter companies add a downspout from the highest point that empties onto the lower surface. In this case, we used separate downspouts for each floor. Possible water volumes made this decision easy. Rather than add stress to one gutter, we let them split the work. Additionally, the distance between the downspouts eases the job of properly controlling water at the ground level.

Our design for this project was multi-faceted and consisted of a large screened room with a new patio and outdoor kitchen area. You could say those were the main attractions. In addition, several amenities filled out the homeowners’ dream outdoor space, making it complete. These included a planter integrated into the concrete patio, a custom trellis on the patio, and a privacy wall at the end of the patio.

The project features warm, inviting natural Ipe hardwood decking on the floor of both the deck and covered porch. Ipe is a favorite among Central Texas homeowners as a material for outdoor living. This is a different view of the side of the house. Here you can see where all the rainwater from this portion of the seamless gutter will end up. The homeowners chose to have a rain barrel added to this gutter installation. You can immediately see its usefulness. With all the greenery around the side of the house, the homeowners now have access to a free source of water to maintain their plants and keep them healthy.
