Project: Zable Residence – Backlit Blue Onyx Bathroom Wall Location: Plano, Texas Product Used: Frameless LED Light Panels by Nu World Custom Lighting and Design This breathtaking bathroom feature wall uses a stunning slab of natural blue onyx, dramatically brought to life with integrated LED backlighting. For this project, we supplied eight custom frameless LED light panels, each measuring 33.5" x 27" and only 6mm thick, edge-lit along the short sides for even, consistent illumination. The total illuminated area measured approximately 66" x 108", and our client cleverly incorporated a ½” to 1” airspace behind the stone to allow the light to diffuse evenly across the surface. The panels were paired with wall-mounted dimming power supplies, allowing for effortless control of ambiance and light intensity within the space. Installed in collaboration with D.W. Gold Construction, Inc., this project is a perfect example of how our ultra-thin LED panels can elevate translucent materials and transform any interior into a showstopping, high-end space.
