Before picture. We replaced the railing with new materials. Cut off the tops of the newels to add a new shadow caps. Removed the bottom shoe railing and added metal balusters. Painter recoated the railing system.

Inspiration for a timeless balcony remodel in Miami

This beautiful staircase is made up of parts from Carolina Stair Supply. Framed by the light-colored walls that surround it, this beautiful staircase is a wonderful focal point in this home; a dark chocolate dream that seems to burst out and beg to be noticed. This post- to- post staircase uses the 4842 plain newel from our Savannah Line, and combines it with our 6210 rail. The dark wood is the perfect complement to our satin black, CS16.1.2, double twist iron balusters, and our satin black, CS16.1.3, single basket with double twist iron balusters. From its unusual first step - all the way to its cozy balcony - this staircase is a unique masterpiece of beauty and craftsmanship.

The Laurel was a project that required a rigorous lesson in southern architectural vernacular. The site being located in the hot climate of the Carolina shoreline, the client was eager to capture cross breezes and utilize outdoor entertainment spaces. The home was designed with three covered porches, one partially covered courtyard, and one screened porch, all accessed by way of French doors and extra tall double-hung windows. The open main level floor plan centers on common livings spaces, while still leaving room for a luxurious master suite. The upstairs loft includes two individual bed and bath suites, providing ample room for guests. Native materials were used in construction, including a metal roof and local timber.
