Here are some photos of a unique project we recently finished. We helped InTouch Credit Union salvage and reuse their existing flooring by creating a pattern with different colored carpet tiles and using the product that was removed during the remodel, along with some attic stock they had, to complete this project. The existing carpet tile was discontinued and we had to make some magic happen to help the bank out. That's what Good Guys do!

The left side of the kitchen houses a Thermador double oven combination. The inset door style and allows for style and elegance. The banks of drawers are soft close and full extension offer wonderful storage and easy access. Design Connection, Inc. provided- Kitchen design, space planning, elevations, tile, plumbing, cabinet design, counter top selections, bar stools, and installation of all products including project management.

Project: Kitsilano House Builder: Grenor Homes About this Project When our clients asked us to design their new house in the heart of Kitsilano, they wanted a space that showcased their personalities, travels, and experiences. Naturally, our team was instantly excited and eager to make this house a home. Layout: Prior to the renovation, the family room was adjacent to the kitchen and the formal living room at the other end of the space; in the middle was the dinning area. We looked at the main floor as an entire space and decided to combine the two living spaces into one and move the dining area towards the kitchen. The Kitchen: had always been an L shape with an island; previously there was a kitchen table by the windows. In the space planning period, we decided to eliminate the kitchen table to increase the overall size of the kitchen, giving us a bigger island for casual eating. The perimeter of the kitchen has many great features; a coffee nook, a freezer column, double ovens, a cooktop with drawers below, an appliance garage in the awkward corner, a pantry with ample storage and free-standing fridge. The Island also has many key features; a built-in unit for garbage/recycling/compost, a slide out tray underneath the sink for easy access to cleaning products, a dishwasher, and a bank of four drawer. On the outside of the island is an open shelf for cookbooks and display items. Below the countertop overhang is additional hidden storage for the items not accessed frequently. Dinning Area: we utilized the pre-existing niche by incorporating floating shelves in an asymmetrical design, which became the perfect area for the clients to display the art collected during their travels. Bar Area: The space between the kitchen and powder room became the perfect place to add a bar. Storage, counter space, and 2 bar fridges brought this little entertaining area to life. Fireplace: Using existing fireplace unit we cladded the surround with Dekton material, paneled the wall above with Walnut and a mantel made from Quarkus. These materials repeat them selves through the entire space.

Door Style: Parkside Inset Construction: Flush Inset Wood Type: HDM Paint: Showplace Paints - Black After purchasing this modern style ranch home built in the 1980's the homeowners wanted to open up the floor plan and modernize the look and feel. Creating a functional space that met the cooking needs of a large active family while supporting entertaining large parties with ease was very important. With good bones and many appealing architectural details already in place, the home just needed a make over with good design to become the next better version of itself. One of the first hurdles in developing this design was creating a contemporary Scandinavian feel without upper wall cabinets, so special attention needed to be placed on storage needs. This was addressed through the use of multiple sets of wide, large drawer banks, tray divider cabinets, and storage on the back side of the island's counter top overhang. This created the necessary space to ensure every pot and pan had a home, and in the correct place for its intended purpose. Entertainment needs were addressed by creating a separate space dedicated to wine columns, a coffee station, and associated glassware. The homeowners came into the project with a desire for black painted shaker style cabinetry with large gold hardware; this was an appealing challenge for the design team at Haggard Home Cabinetry & Design, who loved the unique opportunity to "color outside of the lines" and stretch their creative talents. A combination of sky lights and large windows flood the space with natural light and enhance the dark painted choice in cabinetry. In the end, the homeowners brought their tasteful vision of a great design to this project which became beautiful reality in a space they will love for years to come. Completed by Haggard Home Cabinetry & Design in Norcross, GA, this beautiful project was a 2019 Showplace Cabinetry National Award Winner – Best Kitchen Design for a New Showplace Dealer.

We love to layer on the color! A room-sized custom sectional was designed with Castellano’s Custom Furniture to command the space and welcome a crowd. When ceilings soar, artwork should most certainly rise to the occasion, and an 80” tall canvas piece was customized with LeftBank Art to meet the grand scale. Crelan – Belgium Bruxelles, Belgium The elegance of Agglotech’s Venetian marble cement gives a touch of style and personality to the Brussels offices of Crelan, the Belgian bank with roots in agriculture. The color chosen for this project was SB130 Aggloceppo, a product that is a favorite among designers for the distinctive personality it gives to their projects.

Check out this amazing Massive Disappeaing Waterfall build just recently completed. What an epic build! This moss rock waterfall is a one of a kind custom creation like none you’ve ever witnessed. But you are all witnesses now ;). We took a drab weedy flower bed on a bank and turned it into a true masterpiece. This pondless waterfall was built using all aquascape pond products per usual. The moss rock boulders truly make this water feature. This water feature also harvest rain water from the down spots on the home hidden through the large drift wood on the edge. No need to pull out the hose to fill this feature up. Follow along as we put on the finishing touches to the feature in the video above and the final work of art in the pictures below.

Thoughtful design was top of mind for these clients as they approached the Renovisions team to help narrow down their choices and bring it to life. Finding balance while mixing darker, heavier black finishes and lighter, white finishes was the task at hand and the goal was to create a modern look with an industrial/rustic feel. The challenge on this project was incorporating all the desired elements and products in a tight spatial constraint of 9’ x 7.5’. The clients biggest concern in the old bathroom was inadequate storage, tired and under-utilized bathtub and they also needed an additional sink for their two daughters who often share this space. Renovisions recommended removing the wall between the shower and closet to gain additional floor space as you enter the bath, while providing wall space for the three towel bars. Collaborating with the clients and searching to find the right fixtures paid off nicely. This newly remodeled Renovision accommodated two rectangular sinks, a walk-in shower with hand-held shower, wall-mounted shower head and two soft spray body jets. The oil-rubbed bronze fixtures not only provided a luxurious spa experience, but also added warmth and softness to the vintage feel. The glass shower enclosure is trimmed in a matte black grid that boasts an industrial aesthetic with retro feel while delivering modernistic function. It’s unique in appearance while allowing the chic white subway and black and white diamond tile to peek through. The beautifully designed cabinetry in a matte black painted finish provides plenty of storage. This smart configuration included two banks of three drawers for toiletries and accessories, two towers with adjustable shelves for towels and two ‘garage’ doors for hair dryers. Another unique design detail to capture attention was the black and white curvy geometric floor tile which plays off the straight lines of the cabinets and square grids of the shower enclosure. The clients are thrilled with the results and their modern, high-contrast styled digs – a true customized relaxation sanctuary for the entire family.
