When clients begin considering a kitchen remodel, they're often thinking about more than new cabinetry or countertops. They're thinking about how they want to live in their home. For this project, the goal was to create a kitchen that felt more open, connected, and functional for everyday life.
The original kitchen was relatively small and enclosed. A wall with a single doorway separated it from the formal dining room, while a half-wall divided it from the main living area. The space functioned well enough, but it didn't support the way the homeowners wanted to gather, entertain, and interact with family and guests.
Rather than simply updating finishes, we took a comprehensive approach to reimagining the entire layout.

Our design begin with the kitchen. The goal was to have an open, yet defined space that allowed for interaction between the kitchen, dinette and great room. Centered around a large 12'x4' island the custom cabinetry gives the owners plenty of storage and function space. On the rear wall we installed full-height cabinets with integrated refrigerator and freezer and a convenient planning desk.
Find the right local pro for your project

Located on a tight corner lot, the design of this addition left one wall standing and built a new home around it. The home fits wonderfully into a neighborhood full of mature trees and front porches. We placed generous porches on both the front and back of the house to maximize the owners' use of the lot. There's even a balcony off of the master bedroom with planters for herbs and flowers. The kitchen, though compact, is a chef's dream. There are also windows placed behind the upper cabinets to create a backlighting effect during the day and bring more natural light into the space. Here's what the owner had to say about the project:

Having living nature to interact with in your own backyard is a powerful assistant in promoting health. Being near a water feature line this Dream Scape Pond calms one down instantly. The more time one spends here, the more one begins to follow the movements of the Koi fish.

This stylish modern office with beautiful custom furniture sits on hardwood floors and has ample open and closed storage with the additional matching cabinet.

In 2023, spoga+gafa in Cologne once again confirmed its relevance as the world's largest garden lifestyle and BBQ trade fair and further expanded its position as the leading international trade and networking platform for the green industry.
The uniting strength of gardens has hardly ever been as important as today. They bring people together, regardless of their origin, status or beliefs. Social Gardens begin where gardening, plants or relaxing outdoors become social interaction. They promote the community, health and regeneration and create an awareness for the natural environment. With its key theme Social Gardens, spoga+gafa 2023 is focusing on gardens, balconies and terraces as connecting, diverse and sustainable places of encounter.
HIGOLD's team decorated the exhibition as a garden.
The HIGOLD team decorated the exhibition as a garden, bringing together a lot of elite people interested in outdoor furniture, and we talked about the idea of outdoor furniture.
This applies more than ever today after two years of pandemic and in the face of the current global political situation. As a place of joint retreat gardens and green spaces in general are gaining more and more significance. They offer a place of refuge for recovering from the fast-paced everyday routine and bring people together.
Outdoor furniture is essential in garden style, they allow us to stay in the garden and enjoy free talking time.Every outdoor furniture has thereby a social and interactive quality in addition to its functional and creative characteristics.Indeed, the social interaction is what actually lends a garden its own special magic: The garden hosepipe or the sprinkler the children play with in the sun; the outdoor lounge suite the family relaxes on together; the raised flowerbed the neighbours all jointly use to plant vegetables or the grill used for having a BBQ with friends.

This modern farmhouse by Visbeen Architects embodies contemporary luxury, beginning with the light-filled living spaces on the first floor and continuing into the spacious sleeping zones. The large, open dining room steps out to the back screened porch for easy indoor-outdoor interaction. The master suite presents owners with a bright sitting nook (surrounded on three sides with glass for plenty of natural light), a huge walk-in closet, and a spa-like bathroom with a large shower and two vanities. The nearby study can become an office, nursery, or even a room for a snoring partner. Upstairs, two bedrooms each boast a private bathroom and generous dimensions. The lower level can be finished as a relaxing family zone, complete with a wet bar, exercise room, and theater. Other highlights of the home include the well-organized storage spaces on the way in from the garage and the kitchen's big island.

There are several advantages for homeowners to see 3D renderings of their pool outdoor projects before construction begins. Here are some of the key benefits:
Visualization: 3D renderings provide homeowners with a realistic visualization of their pool design. They can see how the design will look in their outdoor space from various angles, which helps them make informed decisions about the design.
Design Changes: If homeowners want to make changes to the pool design, 3D renderings make it easy to see how those changes will look in the final product. They can make adjustments to the design and see the results in real time, which saves time and money in the long run.
Cost-Efficiency: 3D renderings can help homeowners save money on their pool projects. They can make design changes before construction begins, which can prevent costly mistakes and delays.
Planning: 3D renderings allow homeowners to plan their outdoor space more efficiently. They can see how the pool design interacts with their landscaping, patio, and other outdoor features. This helps them plan the layout of their outdoor space and make informed decisions about other outdoor features.
Peace of Mind: 3D renderings provide homeowners with peace of mind. They can see the final product before construction begins, which reduces stress and anxiety about the project.
