Dining area at 10106 Empyrean Way, Century City, Los Angeles, centered on a marble table under an oversized drum pendant. A wide picture window frames the treetop view, and the opening at left connects through to the living room and kitchen beyond. Remodeled by Solid Ground Construction, a licensed general contractor serving Century City, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and greater Los Angeles.

The original concept for this space came from the idea that this modern glass greenhouse would be built around an old wooden shed still standing beneath the trees. The "shed" turned Powder Room would of course be new construction, but clever materiality - white washed reclaimed vertical panelling - would make it appear as though it was a treasure from many years before.

This light filled laundry room is as functional as it is beautiful. It features a vented clothes drying cabinet, complete with a hanging rod for air drying clothes and pullout mesh racks for drying t-shirts or delicates. The handy dog shower makes it easier to keep Fido clean and the full height wall tile makes cleaning a breeze. Open shelves above the dog shower provide a handy spot for rolled up towels, dog shampoo and dog treats. A laundry soaking sink, a custom pullout cabinet for hanging mops, brooms and other cleaning supplies, and ample cabinet storage make this a dream laundry room. Design accents include a fun octagon wall tile and a whimsical gold basket light fixture.

Millcreek Cabinet and Design constructed only the cabinetry. We do not have other information regarding the other finishes such as flooring, wall color, and counters; they were selected by the designer or homeowner.

Inspiration for a craftsman bathroom remodel in Portland

Primary bathroom of a new construction home in the Berkeley Hills, CA. A freestanding white oval soaking tub is positioned beneath a steel-framed picture window with unobstructed mature forest views. Full-height black4 tile accent wall behind the tub creates a dramatic textural contrast with the white soaking tub and bright window beyond. Floating oak vanity with dual matte black rectangular vessel sinks, matte black gooseneck faucets, and a full-width backlit mirror with integrated lighting rail.
