The 1 000SF, two bed and two bath condo was a true fixer-upper with outdated finishes and a floor plan that needed refinement. The suite was gutted down to concrete and studs, taking down several walls in the process. The design was influenced by the character and materials of a converted New York loft, and using the vernacular West Coast Modern language, it was infused with warm wood accents, exposed concrete, and framed views of the North Shore mountains.

This floor-to-ceiling media center with Koa veneer finish showcases the rich, vibrant quality of Koa, a tropical wood species that is native to Hawaii. Lower cabinet storage is concealed behind pillow edge doors, with trim and moulding accents to create a beautiful, tropical, island-inspired space.

Spanning three levels, this elegant modern staircase transforms light into a design element. Suspended by open risers, the dark wood treads appear to float between floors as natural light cascades from the top floor windows down through the entire stairwell. The horizontal stainless steel rods create clean, uninterrupted sightlines while emphasizing the architectural volume beneath the landings. The result is a vertical journey defined by transparency and light.
