This stunning one-acre garden, within walking distance of downtown Bethesda, was designed and installed by our firm in 2004.. LPI continues to maintain it today. The owners, devoted gardeners, wanted to utilize as much of the existing plant palette as possible but also to have space for a pond, a cutting garden, and expanses of lawn. The biggest challenge proved to be coping with the prodigious amount of water on site due to an underground spring and drainage issues posed by it and the topography of the site. In 2010 this garden won an Award of Merit from the Association of Professional Landscape Designers, , a Grand Award from the MD*DC*VA Landscape Contractors Association, and an Environmental Improvement Award of Distinction from PLANET. ©Melissa Clark Photography. Rock outcroppings make a striking background for new lounge areas in this compact Los Angeles hillside garden. Working with the attributes of the site, we added native plants to drape over the stone, and converted hollowed stone planters into a firepit and water feature. This kitchen remodel's biggest change was raising the ceiling. In doing so the new design successfully created a more open space with clean lines complimenting the new contemporary space. The cabinets were replaced with new cabinets from Starmark Cabinetry. They are Starmark's Hudson door style in maple wood with a tinted varnish nickel glaze finish. The pulls are from Richelieu, which go perfect with all the stainless steel appliances and fixtures. The contrasting countertops are from Pental Quartz called Avalon and look stunning in this space. The backsplash in Bedrosians Eclipse eternity linear glass mosaic tile, which really ties all the colors together. All in all this remodel really transformed this kitchen.
