This project was a complete home design plan for a large new construction luxury home on the south-end of Mercer Island. The contrasting colors utilized throughout emit a chic modern vibe while the complementing darker tones invites a sense of warmth to this modern farmhouse style.

The client, who is an artist, wanted a dramatic guest bathroom. Blue Black were a perfect backdrop for the design = crystal sconces, a mirror framed mirror, and metallic furniture vanity piece with marble top. A hand knotted vintage rug and monogramed towels were the finishing touches. The show-stopping element is the original artwork painted by the client. The Geishas were inspired by a trip the couple made to Japan. They truly make the space personal and special.

Eat-in kitchen - large transitional u-shaped dark wood floor and brown floor eat-in kitchen idea in Raleigh with an undermount sink, shaker cabinets, white cabinets, quartzite countertops, gray backsplash, marble backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island and white countertops

Echoing the same modern classic feel, we chose a wood frame bed in a grayish wood tone and paired that with medium brown nightstands and a dresser with antique brass details. A dark wood framed bench with beige upholstery sits at the end of the bed. Table lamps made of stone and with brass details, provided just the right touch of sophistication to the space. Matching that is a unique brass chandelier. A dark framed mirror with brass accents is placed above the dresser to provide visual appeal and to give lightness to the space. Finally, an area rug with classical elements gives added warmth to the space.

Bedroom in downtown loft with NO windows! This was the challenge Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson faced when beginning this Denver Loft Remodel. Rebecca began by identifying the focal-point wall and addressing the overall dark feel of the room. She painted 3 walls a soft grey and one wall a dark navy blue. Rebecca applied her creative genius to the space by hanging nine beveled mirrors on the dark wall above the bed as a clever way to fool the eye into thinking the mirrors were windows. To further indulge the concept, Rebecca added crisp white linen panels to mimic window treatments on either side. This design idea created a dramatic symmetrical backdrop for the Bedroom furniture... A spectacular oversized blue and white rug (Aja Rugs) sets a perfect foundation for the queen size bed with two oversize nightstands in crisp white, the Bedroom was complete. Inspiration for a contemporary gray tile and marble tile powder room remodel in San Francisco with an undermount sink and white countertops

This guest bath has a light and airy feel with an organic element and pop of color. The custom vanity is in a midtown jade aqua-green PPG paint Holy Glen. It provides ample storage while giving contrast to the white and brass elements. A playful use of mixed metal finishes gives the bathroom an up-dated look. The 3 light sconce is gold and black with glass globes that tie the gold cross handle plumbing fixtures and matte black hardware and bathroom accessories together. The quartz countertop has gold veining that adds additional warmth to the space. The acacia wood framed mirror with a natural interior edge gives the bathroom an organic warm feel that carries into the curb-less shower through the use of warn toned river rock. White subway tile in an offset pattern is used on all three walls in the shower and carried over to the vanity backsplash. The shower has a tall niche with quartz shelves providing lots of space for storing shower necessities. The river rock from the shower floor is carried to the back of the niche to add visual interest to the white subway shower wall as well as a black Schluter edge detail. The shower has a frameless glass rolling shower door with matte black hardware to give the this smaller bathroom an open feel and allow the natural light in. There is a gold handheld shower fixture with a cross handle detail that looks amazing against the white subway tile wall. The white Sherwin Williams Snowbound walls are the perfect backdrop to showcase the design elements of the bathroom. Photography by LifeCreated.

Inspiration for a timeless bathroom remodel in DC Metro with multicolored walls

This bathroom design embraces high-contrast elegance with creative flair. Matte black cabinetry on two separate vanities and a spacious storage wall are paired with polished black tile flooring sets a dramatic foundation, while the soft gray grasscloth wallpaper adds texture and warmth. A square, black-framed mirror and contemporary wall sconce above the vanity strike a minimalist tone.
