Eat-in kitchen - mid-sized mediterranean u-shaped terra-cotta tile eat-in kitchen idea in Houston with flat-panel cabinets, white cabinets, an undermount sink, granite countertops, white backsplash, porcelain backsplash and stainless steel appliances

Arched openings and an arched niche in this foyer are complemented by recessed coffered ceiling details creating a repetitive lighting pattern. Wood crown and j-mouldings outline the recessed coffered details and are painted in a higher sheen ceiling color to pick up some reflections from the lighting. LED downlighting is used throughout this new home, augmented with many decorative light fixtures (sconces and pendants) to create a layering of light options. Fire sprinklers were carefully located to blend, but still meet the building code regulations.

Special care and attention was paid to each and every light fixture in this home. A Morris Lantern from Circa Lighting brings an industrial element into the mix with its structured, geometric shape.

Another lighting fixture feature in this home is the Alexandra from Rejuvenation in the entry foyer.
