We turned an attic into a writer's garret. Honey-toned wood floors combine with warm gray wainscoting to make for an appealing space. Lighting by Portland's own Cedar & Moss. A live-edge wall-to-wall walnut wood desk provides ample room for writing, and mapping out research and story materials. Custom file folder and shelves tuck underneath. The stairs were designed to wrap around into the Living Room, to form an integral bench. The opening to the right leads into the Dining Room. During parties, the bench provides extra seating, as do the steps. This is especially nice when someone is playing the piano. Originally Elder wood, Cabinets refinished to a factory smooth antique white painted finish with glaze. An old world aged effect was achieved on the cabinets by a shadowing technique unique to CCFF. A protective topcoat professionally sprayed to ensure the highest level of durability
