Designed for the young professional or retiring "Boomers" - the power of connectivity drives the design of the Blue Rock model with smart technology paired with open living spaces to elevate the sense of living "smart". The floor plan is a tidy one that packs all the punch of smart design and functionality. Modern, clean lines and elements grounded in iron hues, warm woods, and natural light is why the Blue Rock is everything it needs to be and nothing more.

Smaller tile and more grout mean more safety in the shower and bathroom floor. The use of the FinPan curbless shower system mean that no floor joists need to be removed- enabling more functional stability and the ability to put the shower floor down in a day and tile the very next day- thus this bathroom could be done in a weekend (or week with demolition and new plumbing.) This black and white marble tile bathroom was created from an existing guest bedroom and bathroom. Varying ceiling heights were used to accommodate existing ductwork that couldn't be relocated. By incorporating wide doorways and walkways, along with a double vanity area, these Baby Boomer homeowners have the perfect Master Retreat. No more climbing three flights of stairs every night!

Inspiration for a small transitional master white tile and porcelain tile porcelain tile bathroom remodel in New York with an undermount sink, flat-panel cabinets, gray cabinets, marble countertops, a one-piece toilet and blue walls

This baby boomer couple recently settled in the Haymarket area.
Their bathroom was located behind the garage from which we took a few inches to contribute to the bathroom space, offering them a large walk in shower, with
Digital controls designed for multiple shower heads . With a new waterfall free standing tub/ faucet slipper tub taking the space of the old large decked tub. We used a Victoria & Albert modern free standing tub, which brought spa feel to the room. The old space from the closet was used to create enough space for the bench area. It has a modern look linear drain in wet room. Adding a decorative touch and more lighting, is a beautiful chandelier outside of the wet room.
Behind the new commode area is a niche.
New vanities, sleek, yet spacious, allowing for more storage.
The large mirror and hidden medicine cabinets with decorative lighting added more of the contemporariness to the space.
Around this bath, we used large space tile. With a Classic look of black and white tile that complement the mosaic tile used creatively, making this bathroom undeniably stunning.
The smart use of mosaic tile on the back wall of the shower and tub area has put this project on the cover sheet of most design magazine.
The privacy wall offers closure for the commode from the front entry. Classy yet simple is how they described their new master bath suite.

The Home for Life project was customized around our client’s lifestyle so that he could enjoy the home for many years to come. Designed with empty nesters and baby boomers in mind, our custom design used a different approach to the disparity of square footage on each floor.
The main level measures out at 2,300 square feet while the lower and upper levels of the home measure out at 1000 square feet each, respectively. The open floor plan of the main level features a master suite and master bath, personal office, kitchen and dining areas, and a two-car garage that opens to a mudroom and laundry room. The upper level features two generously sized en-suite bedrooms while the lower level features an extra guest room with a full bath and an exercise/rec room. The backyard offers 800 square feet of travertine patio with an elegant outdoor kitchen, while the front entry has a covered 300 square foot porch with custom landscape lighting.
The biggest challenge of the project was dealing with the size of the lot, measuring only a ¼ acre. Because the majority of square footage was dedicated to the main floor, we had to make sure that the main rooms had plenty of natural lighting. Our solution was to place the public spaces (Great room and outdoor patio) facing south, and the more private spaces (Bedrooms) facing north.
The common misconception with small homes is that they cannot factor in everything the homeowner wants. With our custom design, we created an open concept space that features all the amenities of a luxury lifestyle in a home measuring a total of 4300 square feet.

Just like single family homes, condos are also in constant need of updating in order to keep up with today’s growing real estate market. Baby-boomers and young professionals alike are now more than ever searching for that perfect place to call home but without all of the maintenance and upkeep. With this in mind, our client came to Red House to have her 2-story condo, located in the heart of downtown Providence, remodeled.
Originally from Manila, this young doctor wanted a more open feel in her stairwell leading up to the second floor hallway in addition to creating a more contemporary feel in her guest bathroom.

This small bathroom was renovated using some aging in place design. We added a bench, a second handheld shower next to the bench, and used a raised height toilet. I wanted the shower to be curbless, but to keep the costs down (avoiding redoing the pitch in the floor) we had a minimum curb.
The doors were widened to 36" in case my client needs to use a wheelchair.
The frameless shower and beige tile and walls opened up the bathroom. The reddish orange glass vanity and upper cabinet is modern looking but full of functional storage solutions. the red/orange accent tile pulled the glass top color into the shower.

The beige liner showed the ability to use multiple color schemes off of one hanger. The double niche to the right is actually a single product that is tiled into two separate spaces. The shower was selected so that it can operate as a handheld, a top shower, or both with the turn of one switch using a closed fist. Larger tile was used where ever possible to save money and time without compromising the overall look.

Boomer presides over the mudroom’s slab doors, satin nickel hardware, charactered walnut counters. Porcelain tile mimics slate floors, while the magnetic glass backsplash serves as a sleek message center.
