This wine cellar was built for large capacity wine storage and comfort. Along with island seating, the cabinetry also has drawers and storage for wine. The open space around the island allows for ease of access to the wine racks with plenty of room for friends. The room has a primary and secondary (back-up) cooling system. The wine racks are constructed of heart redwood. The suspended lighting is LED glass pendant and adjustable pendants for the room perimeter.

The shower walls are 12x24" United Keranos tile in "Attica," which are accented in a thick vertical band of Lunada Bay Tozen in "Vanadium Silk." Floating corner bench is 18" rounded Pental quartz in "Avenue Gray." Dual shower heads for this master shower, handheld to the right is Kohler Forge in brushed nickel, with Kohler Alteo in brushed nickel valve trim and Moen oversized shower head on the left. A 24x12" recessed shower niche is also provided for shampoo bottles and soaps. A single glass panel provides a splash protector without overwhelming the space. This was a poorly designed landscaped area. The new owner wanted to have a place to practice her putting and minumum maintenance. We revived this corner of the yard with artificial turf and putting green, large queen palms, bottle brush scrubs and such. We also created a pathway using tumbled pavers leading to the pool equipment room and storage shed. The project turned out right on par! Photos by Greg Kerber

Whole-house remodel of a hillside home in Seattle. The historically-significant ballroom was repurposed as a family/music room, and the once-small kitchen and adjacent spaces were combined to create an open area for cooking and gathering. A compact master bath was reconfigured to maximize the use of space, and a new main floor powder room provides knee space for accessibility.
