The apartment is located in a dreamy Chaillot area near Passy Water reservoirs and Arc de Triomphe in Paris XVI. The property is filled with lots of natural light and offers magnificent views straight to the water. We can even spot the Eiffel Tower. The brief was to create a welcoming, modern yet cozy space filled with original art, modern and vintage timeless furniture and collectibles, mixing them with some already client’s owned furniture and art. The most important task was to source an exceptional dining table for 13 people to make family and friends’ jaws drop and make client’s heart jump from excitement. The client wanted to feel herself at home for the next several years of living at this rented property and wanted this interior to be her own reflection. AUTHENTIC INTERIOR design studio also sourced unique, interesting pieces of art as well as furniture. The Atherton House is a family compound for a professional couple in the tech industry, and their two teenage children. After living in Singapore, then Hong Kong, and building homes there, they looked forward to continuing their search for a new place to start a life and set down roots. The site is located on Atherton Avenue on a flat, 1 acre lot. The neighboring lots are of a similar size, and are filled with mature planting and gardens. The brief on this site was to create a house that would comfortably accommodate the busy lives of each of the family members, as well as provide opportunities for wonder and awe. Views on the site are internal. Our goal was to create an indoor- outdoor home that embraced the benign California climate. The building was conceived as a classic “H” plan with two wings attached by a double height entertaining space. The “H” shape allows for alcoves of the yard to be embraced by the mass of the building, creating different types of exterior space. The two wings of the home provide some sense of enclosure and privacy along the side property lines. The south wing contains three bedroom suites at the second level, as well as laundry. At the first level there is a guest suite facing east, powder room and a Library facing west. The north wing is entirely given over to the Primary suite at the top level, including the main bedroom, dressing and bathroom. The bedroom opens out to a roof terrace to the west, overlooking a pool and courtyard below. At the ground floor, the north wing contains the family room, kitchen and dining room. The family room and dining room each have pocketing sliding glass doors that dissolve the boundary between inside and outside. Connecting the wings is a double high living space meant to be comfortable, delightful and awe-inspiring. A custom fabricated two story circular stair of steel and glass connects the upper level to the main level, and down to the basement “lounge” below. An acrylic and steel bridge begins near one end of the stair landing and flies 40 feet to the children’s bedroom wing. People going about their day moving through the stair and bridge become both observed and observer. The front (EAST) wall is the all important receiving place for guests and family alike. There the interplay between yin and yang, weathering steel and the mature olive tree, empower the entrance. Most other materials are white and pure. The mechanical systems are efficiently combined hydronic heating and cooling, with no forced air required.

The Pastel colors are selected for the home because we had to fulfill the brief we were told; to give luxurious, soft and peaceful yet not boring space. So we created color palette with pastels and we’re loving it!! The curves are a signature element used to create a language.

This home evokes a sensuous St. Barth lifestyle on Lake Michigan, designed for globetrotting clients who wanted a weekend sanctuary near their primary residence in Chicago. The project brief included open plan living for entertaining, a family lounge, and bedroom suites for houseguests. The first level is a glass rectangular volume that makes the second level appear to float over the dune and offers water views through the structure. Clad in Accoya, the upper level will gray with age and blend into the landscape. These two horizontal volumes are connected by a double-height glass entry space that reveals a floating staircase. A contemporary beach aesthetic unifies the interior through an edited palette of materials, including white oak millwork, large-format porcelain tile, and a range of warm whites. Interior tile extends out to the pool terrace, uniting the spaces and amplifying the connection to the outdoors. The landscape design enhances the experience. A courtyard with sculptural Ginkgo trees offers refuge from lake breezes. On the pool terrace, custom Cor-Ten planters overflow with Russian Sage, selected for graceful foliage that sways in the breeze and offers a relaxing herbal aroma.

Located in Buckinghamshire, this bedroom project is a great example of our approach to smart design, quality finishes, and practical touches. Our designer created the space, perfectly capturing the brief from the outset with no revisions needed. Our dedicated Installation and Project Manager then managed the project, overseeing every detail from start to finish to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience. For this project, we soundproofed the floors, updated the lighting, and handled the full decorating work, transforming not only the master bedroom but also two additional bedrooms. The finished furniture features Porcelain Nature fronts paired with a Smoked Oak carcass, brought together by 22mm Modern Vinyl worktops. Elegant brushed nickel fluted bar handles add a subtle touch of texture and warmth. Clever features like an IR sensor wardrobe light and a pull-out shoe shelf make this space as functional as it is stylish. A matching chest of drawers completes the setup. At Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Kitchens, we believe the details matter. This project is a great example of how clever design and good workmanship can really change a home for the better.

THE PROJECT STARTED WITH THE KITCHEN - AND A BRIEF THAT CALLED FOR A LARGE, OPEN AREA WITH A PENINSULA. KEEPING EVERYTHING WHITE LET THE VIEW POP! THE DINING ROOM + MAIN LR — PLAY UP A MODERN, WARM VIBE SO KEEPING THE BRICK FLOOR WAS A MUST, BUT WE ADDED FLOATING CHAIRS AND A NEUTRAL PAINT SCHEME THROUGHOUT. CUSTOM ARTWORK ON THE FRONT WALL BY JEFF BORTNIKER PLAYS UP A SUBTLE POP-ART FEEL. UPSTAIRS A MASTER SUITE KEEPS A NEW ENGLAND FEEL WITH TRANSOM WINDOWS BUT FEELS LUSH — WHILE A WALK-IN CLOSET (NEVER EASY IN AN ANTIQUE) UNDER THE EAVE OF THE ROOF-LINE GIVES A DRESSING ROOM FEEL. FAMILY BEDROOMS AGAIN MAKE USE OF EAVES AND RETURNS IN WALLS TO CREATE COZY NOOKS, HIGHLIGHTED WITH COLOR + GLOSS. WE WERE STRIVING FOR A WARM BALANCE AND USED ARCHITECTURE, TEXTURE, MATERIAL + COLOR TO ACHIEVE IT IN THIS FAMILY HOME.

Occupying a prominent property in Notting Hill, the brief for this 120 sq m apartment was to rationalise a sequence of disconnected spaces in order to create a coherent design. The palette of materials is restrained in order to provide a neutral backdrop for the client’s collection of furniture and artworks. High quality finishes and detailing include shadow gaps, full height door apertures, concealed storage and limed oak flooring, together with a library area equipped with bespoke storage to display books and objets d’art. A notable feature of the apartment is the corner ‘rotunda’, now accommodating a shower-room; the rotunda’s roof structure has been exposed to add architectural interest. Istanbul Marble is a beautiful large scale pattern with sweeping movement that hails from Turkey. The brief for the living room included creating a space that is comfortable, modern and where the couple’s young children can play and make a mess. We selected a bright, vintage rug to anchor the space on top of which we added a myriad of seating opportunities that can move and morph into whatever is required for playing and entertaining.

We are delighted to have completed the radical transformation of a tired detached property in South Croydon. When they appointed Granit, our clients were living in the property which had previously been divided into a number of flats. The historic sub-division had resulted in an extremely poor use of space with redundant staircases, kitchens and bathrooms throughout. Our clients sought to reconfigure the property back into a single dwelling for his growing family. Our client had an eye for design and was keen to balance contemporary design whilst maintaining as much of the character of the original house. Maximising natural light, space and establishing a visual and physical connection were also key drivers for the design. Owing to the size of the property, it became apparent that reconfiguration rather than extension provided the solution to meet the brief. A metal clad ‘intervention’ was introduced to the rear facade. This created a strong horizontal element creating a visual balance with the vertical nature of the three storey gable. The metal cladding specified echoed the colour of the red brick string courses tying old with new. Slender frame sliding doors provide access and views of the large garden. The central circulation space was transformed by the introduction of a double height glazed slot wrapping up the rear facade and onto the roof. This allows daylight to permeate into the heart of the otherwise dark deep floor plan. The staircase was reconfigured into a series of landings looking down over the main void space below and out towards the tree canopies at the rear of the garden. The introduction of double pocket doors throughout the ground floor creates a series of interconnected spaces and the whitewashed Larch flooring flows seamlessly from room to room. A bold palette of colours and materials lends character and texture throughout the property. The end result is a spacious yet cosy environment for the family to inhabit for years to come.

Brief: Create an elegant and brightly colored living room with minimal decor. In addition, maximize seating options. Custom Archer Sectional from Interior Define became the main decor piece in the space. We carefully accented the unique Sapphire color with colorful geometric throw pillows, transparent table decor and walnut furniture. This new living room perfectly depicts this family's personalities and care for one another.
