In her Charlottesville residence, Founding Principal Cathy Purple Cherry envisioned a space where she could immerse herself in artwork while still feeling connected to the heart of the home. To achieve this, she designed an art studio linked to the great room via large interior windows and sliding barn doors, which create both connectivity and the option of privacy when desired. This thoughtful design ensures Cathy can paint in solitude or remain part of the household excitement-whether her husband is relaxing in the great room or enjoying a meal at the kitchen island or dining table.

Location: Denver, CO, USA Dado designed this 4,000 SF condo from top to bottom. A full-scale buildout was required, with custom fittings throughout. The brief called for design solutions that catered to both the client’s desire for comfort and easy functionality, along with a modern aesthetic that could support their bold and colorful art collection. The name of the game - calm modernism. Neutral colors and natural materials were used throughout. "After a couple of failed attempts with other design firms we were fortunate to find Megan Moore. We were looking for a modern, somewhat minimalist design for our newly built condo in Cherry Creek North. We especially liked Megan’s approach to design: specifically to look at the entire space and consider its flow from every perspective. Megan is a gifted designer who understands the needs of her clients. She spent considerable time talking to us to fully understand what we wanted. Our work together felt like a collaboration and partnership. We always felt engaged and informed. We also appreciated the transparency with product selection and pricing. The owners of this Old Metairie home love to spend time in the kitchen preparing meals and entertaining family and friends. Cabinets by Design outfitted the kitchen with custom French Blue cabinets that provide ample storage and complement the interiors. Off the kitchen, a butler’s pantry with matching cabinetry provides additional storage while a family room wet bar includes a wine cooler and ice machine.

The side of the staircase was a natural place to create a built-in TV and entertainment center with adjustable shelving and lots of storage. This space is bright and welcoming, and the open floor plan allows for easy entertaining. Welcome to this sports lover’s paradise in West Chester, PA! We started with the completely blank palette of an unfinished basement and created space for everyone in the family by adding a main television watching space, a play area, a bar area, a full bathroom and an exercise room.
