Builder's bulkheads... were a cheap simple way for home builders of years past (hopefully past) to cut costs and streamline projects, but cast away key elements such as functionality and aesthetics. Removing them...can be very complex...but extremely rewarding. Plumbing, structural, electrical and hvac components can lie hidden behind causing all manner of challenges. All worth it...wouldn't you agree?

Existing Applesauce color trim adorns the entire house and is seen on cabinets & trim. Blending the trim color was paramount so we painted the walls a light aqua and used a teal, orange & ivory color scheme keeping the design fresh.

A bathroom never looked so good….What a cool use of our classic bulkhead sconces! No matter the location, our B-1 adds just the right nautical detail. Our traditional bulkhead sconce has been a best seller for years as it can seamlessly transition between a durable nautical lamp and an industrial sconce. Its recently been updated to include an optional mounting bracket that will attach & cover a standard j-box. Our 90 degree ship light also includes a rubber gasket and always comes UL listed. This solid brass dock light has been compared to the backbay wallmount, Carson Wall Sconce, Tolston, RW Starboard Sconce and the Groton light. Private installations include projects on Block Island and Lake Michigan, as well as the Village Club of Sands Point and Jupiter Yacht Club.
