These impressive double curved staircases create a grand entrance worthy of this exquisite custom home. Black-painted oak treads and handrail, which match the upstairs hardwood flooring, are paired with crisp white risers, establishing a bold foundation for the design, while a custom wrought-iron balustrade brings Old World craftsmanship to the space.
Rounded bullnose starting steps on each staircase provide an elegant invitation to ascend, softening the grand scale with graceful curves. Rising symmetrically on either side of the foyer, these staircases transform the entrance into an architectural statement that sets the tone for the entire residence.

This Zermatt Quartzite is certainly the belle of the ball – rare, luxurious, and full of color. The stone appears quite delicate with its rosy hue “marred” by the unique pattern left by the dark veins scrawled across the surface. Elegance still reigns, thanks to the patches of white quartz. 2CM Quartzite slabs w/ polished finish, custom finishes available upon request.

Custom mural don at Ibis styles in Central London.
This project was developed in order to follow the theatrical vibe of the already existent entrance.

Stretch Ceiling Systems have provided the architectural, design, acoustical, and lighting communities with the most creative and technically advanced ceiling system on the market.
Invented over three decades ago in Sweden as a remedy for damaged plaster ceilings, PVC stretch ceilings became an ideal solution for this particular situation. However, throughout the years, its numerous technical and aesthetic advantages made it a product of choice for unlimited applications.

Looking down through the floating glass staircase into the kitchen we see the low-voltage fixtures that light the island workspace below. The challenge of how to integrate task-lighting into the space without taking away from the beautiful structure and transparency of the staircase is solved using 12V cable which is strung along the support structure that runs the length of the stairway bridge. This cable energizes (5) MR16 FL40 lamps in fixtures which directly downlight the counter to 52FC without glare, spill, or lamp backsplash.
