This remodel went from a tiny story-and-a-half Cape Cod, to a charming full two-story home. The mudroom features a bench with cubbies underneath, and a shelf with hooks for additional storage. The full glass back door provides natural light while opening to the backyard for quick access to the detached garage. The wall color in this room is Benjamin Moore HC-170 Stonington Gray. Inspiration for a timeless shed remodel in Grand Rapids

Charming stone bungalow in the smokey mountains. The original stone work was restored, new roof and passive solar added, reducing electricity costs by approximately 30%. We used ABC Landscaping to put in the new lawn and suggest landscaping. We built the custom planters to fit the rustic surroundings. The stone work on the edge of the lawn and the stairs are all new, deigned to match the home.

This French country laundry room exudes charm with its functional elegance. Inspiration for a craftsman mudroom remodel in Minneapolis with yellow walls

After many years of careful consideration and planning, these clients came to us with the goal of restoring this home’s original Victorian charm while also increasing its livability and efficiency. From preserving the original built-in cabinetry and fir flooring, to adding a new dormer for the contemporary master bathroom, careful measures were taken to strike this balance between historic preservation and modern upgrading. Behind the home’s new exterior claddings, meticulously designed to preserve its Victorian aesthetic, the shell was air sealed and fitted with a vented rainscreen to increase energy efficiency and durability. With careful attention paid to the relationship between natural light and finished surfaces, the once dark kitchen was re-imagined into a cheerful space that welcomes morning conversation shared over pots of coffee. Every inch of this historical home was thoughtfully considered, prompting countless shared discussions between the home owners and ourselves. Inspiration for a mid-sized coastal open concept light wood floor living room remodel in Boston with white walls

Clients renovating their primary residence first wanted to create an inviting guest house they could call home during their renovation. Traditional in it's original construction, this project called for a rethink of lighting (both through the addition of windows to add natural light) as well as modern fixtures to create a blended transitional feel. We used bright colors in the kitchen to create a big impact in a small space. All told, the result is cozy, inviting and full of charm.
