The master bedroom is the highlight of the home with a wall-to-wall gray headboard surrounded by vintage black and white photographs the design team located and framed.

We designed this modern family home from scratch with pattern, texture and organic materials and then layered in custom rugs, custom-designed furniture, custom artwork and pieces that pack a punch.

The goal of this project was to upgrade the builder grade finishes and create an ergonomic space that had a contemporary feel. This bathroom transformed from a standard, builder grade bathroom to a contemporary urban oasis. This was one of my favorite projects, I know I say that about most of my projects but this one really took an amazing transformation. By removing the walls surrounding the shower and relocating the toilet it visually opened up the space. Creating a deeper shower allowed for the tub to be incorporated into the wet area. Adding a LED panel in the back of the shower gave the illusion of a depth and created a unique storage ledge. A custom vanity keeps a clean front with different storage options and linear limestone draws the eye towards the stacked stone accent wall. Using light flooring in the form of natural lime stone 12x24 tiles with a linear pattern, it really draws the eye down the length of the room which is what we needed. Then, breaking up the space a little with the stone pebble flooring in the shower, this client enjoyed his time living in Japan and wanted to incorporate some of the elements that he appreciated while living there. The dark stacked stone feature wall behind the tub is the perfect backdrop for the LED panel, giving the illusion of a window and also creates a cool storage shelf for the tub. A narrow, but tasteful, oval freestanding tub fit effortlessly in the back of the shower. With a sloped floor, ensuring no standing water either in the shower floor or behind the tub, every thought went into engineering this Atlanta bathroom to last the test of time. With now adequate space in the shower, there was space for adjacent shower heads controlled by Kohler digital valves. A hand wand was added for use and convenience of cleaning as well. On the vanity are semi-vessel sinks which give the appearance of vessel sinks, but with the added benefit of a deeper, rounded basin to avoid splashing. Wall mounted faucets add sophistication as well as less cleaning maintenance over time. The custom vanity is streamlined with drawers, doors and a pull out for a can or hamper. A wonderful project and equally wonderful client. I really enjoyed working with this client and the creative direction of this project. This modern farmhouse bathroom has an extra large vanity with double sinks to make use of a longer rectangular bathroom. The wall behind the vanity has counter to ceiling Jeffrey Court white subway tiles that tie into the shower. There is a playful mix of metals throughout including the black framed round mirrors from CB2, brass & black sconces with glass globes from Shades of Light , and gold wall-mounted faucets from Phylrich. The countertop is quartz with some gold veining to pull the selections together. The charcoal navy custom vanity has ample storage including a pull-out laundry basket while providing contrast to the quartz countertop and brass hexagon cabinet hardware from CB2. This bathroom has a glass enclosed tub/shower that is tiled to the ceiling. White subway tiles are used on two sides with an accent deco tile wall with larger textured field tiles in a chevron pattern on the back wall. The niche incorporates penny rounds on the back using the same countertop quartz for the shelves with a black Schluter edge detail that pops against the deco tile wall. Photography by LifeCreated.

Inspiration for a large mediterranean master gray tile freestanding bathtub remodel in Austin with an undermount sink, recessed-panel cabinets, dark wood cabinets and beige walls

This farmhouse designed by our interior design studio showcases custom, traditional style with modern accents. The laundry room was given an interesting interplay of patterns and texture with a grey mosaic tile backsplash and printed tiled flooring. The dark cabinetry provides adequate storage and style. All the bathrooms are bathed in light palettes with hints of coastal color, while the mudroom features a grey and wood palette with practical built-in cabinets and cubbies. The kitchen is all about sleek elegance with a light palette and oversized pendants with metal accents.

This guest bath has a light and airy feel with an organic element and pop of color. The custom vanity is in a midtown jade aqua-green PPG paint Holy Glen. It provides ample storage while giving contrast to the white and brass elements. A playful use of mixed metal finishes gives the bathroom an up-dated look. The 3 light sconce is gold and black with glass globes that tie the gold cross handle plumbing fixtures and matte black hardware and bathroom accessories together. The quartz countertop has gold veining that adds additional warmth to the space. The acacia wood framed mirror with a natural interior edge gives the bathroom an organic warm feel that carries into the curb-less shower through the use of warn toned river rock. White subway tile in an offset pattern is used on all three walls in the shower and carried over to the vanity backsplash. The shower has a tall niche with quartz shelves providing lots of space for storing shower necessities. The river rock from the shower floor is carried to the back of the niche to add visual interest to the white subway shower wall as well as a black Schluter edge detail. The shower has a frameless glass rolling shower door with matte black hardware to give the this smaller bathroom an open feel and allow the natural light in. There is a gold handheld shower fixture with a cross handle detail that looks amazing against the white subway tile wall. Our team was thrilled to design and furnish a beautiful blush nursery for baby Sloan's imminent arrival. The large scale rose wallpaper was the inspiration for the room's feminine design. Pale gray walls provide a quiet backdrop to the patterned wallpaper. Blush window treatments, crisp white furniture, and beautifully detailed children's artwork finish the space. The natural light flooding through the windows provides a tranquil space for a newborn baby.

Inspiration for a contemporary loft-style family room remodel in Orange County with orange walls

Master suite addition to an existing 20's Spanish home in the heart of Sherman Oaks, approx. 300+ sq. added to this 1300sq. home to provide the needed master bedroom suite. the large 14' by 14' bedroom has a 1 lite French door to the back yard and a large window allowing much needed natural light, the new hardwood floors were matched to the existing wood flooring of the house, a Spanish style arch was done at the entrance to the master bedroom to conform with the rest of the architectural style of the home. The master bathroom on the other hand was designed with a Scandinavian style mixed with Modern wall mounted toilet to preserve space and to allow a clean look, an amazing gloss finish freestanding vanity unit boasting wall mounted faucets and a whole wall tiled with 2x10 subway tile in a herringbone pattern. For the floor tile we used 8x8 hand painted cement tile laid in a pattern pre determined prior to installation. The wall mounted toilet has a huge open niche above it with a marble shelf to be used for decoration. The huge shower boasts 2x10 herringbone pattern subway tile, a side to side niche with a marble shelf, the same marble material was also used for the shower step to give a clean look and act as a trim between the 8x8 cement tiles and the bark hex tile in the shower pan. Notice the hidden drain in the center with tile inserts and the great modern plumbing fixtures in an old work antique bronze finish. A walk-in closet was constructed as well to allow the much needed storage space.

Transitional family room photo in Charlotte with gray walls

Kitchen, Dining and Family Room Remodel for clients with a wonderful collection of Mid-Century Furniture. We opened up small rooms to create this space, changed out small windows to a wall of doors and windows, capturing their gorgeous view. Looking out the windows you would hardly know you are moments from Downtown Minneapolis. The beautiful, organic nature of walnut used horizontally creates peace and rhythm throughout the space. Angular patterned glass tile fills the two kitchen walls with restrained energy and a dash of glamour. Add to that recipe, fun pedants that play well with their original Mid-Mod fixtures over the Dining Table and the space feels both Modern and Timeless. @spacecrafting

Serene master bedroom nestled in the South Carolina mountains in the Cliffs Valley. Peaceful wall color Sherwin Williams Comfort Gray (SW6205) with a cedar clad ceiling.

We used Caesarstone quartz for the countertops and faux-marble tile from Crossville Tile's Virtue collection to create a space that was functional and maintenance-free as well as beautiful. On either side of the sink cabinet, the cabinets pullout to provide storage for hairdryers, curling irons as well as toiletries. Beaux arts architecture of Blairsden was inspiration for kitchen. Homeowner wanted clean airy look while repurposing cold commercial cooking space to an aesthetically pleasing functional kitchen for family and friends or for a catering staff during larger gatherings. Aside from the hand made LaCornue range, no appliances were to be be in the kitchen so as not to interfere with the aesthetic. Instead, the appliances were moved to an adjacent space and celebrated as their own aesthetic with complimentary stainless steel cabinetry and tiled walls. The color pallet of the kitchen was intentionally subtle with tones of beige white and grey. Light was reintroduced into the space by rebuilding the east and north windows. Traffic pattern was improved by moving range from south wall to north wall. Custom stainless structural window, with stainless steel screen and natural brass harlequin grill encapsulated in insulated frosted glass, was engineered to support hood and creates a stunning backdrop for the already gorgeous range. All hardware in kitchen is unlacquered natural brass intentionally selected so as to develop its own patina as it oxides over time to give a true historic quality.
