This bridal suite was designed as part of a full wedding venue / AirBnB project just outside of Fort Wayne, Indiana. This suite provides the bride and her bridal party plenty of space to get ready and enjoy their day with ample light, seating, room for photos and more! There is also an outside patio, kitchen, full dining space, two separate seating areas and more to enjoy. We enjoyed keeping with the traditional style of this historic farmhouse, while keeping the bright, clean colors and adding just enough feminine touch that would not clash with individual bride's taste.

Addison natural thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mill creates a beautiful floor to ceiling fireplace in this cozy living room. Addison is a dimensional style stone with the individual pieces having been sawn to specific heights. This formal looking style of stone is sometimes referred to as sawn height or tailored. Addison is shown here with heights of 2.25″, 5″ and 7.75″. For very large projects we can also add 10.5″ and 14.25″ heights if desired. The stone is cut specifically for a half-inch mortar joint and shown with standard grey mortar. For example, two 2.25″ pieces with a half-inch joint between them will perfectly align with a 5″ piece. A 5″ piece and a 2.25″ with a half-inch joint will perfectly align with a 7.75″ piece. If drystacking (a tight fit mortarless installation) is desired, the stone can be cut into custom sizes, for example, 3″, 6″ and 9″. Addison has been tumbled giving the stone an aged appearance yet it retains the clean lines of dimensional stone.

Keep costs minimal. On the ground floor, both pre-existing eight- and twelve-foot tall halves of the former scheme remain in-place, as do the structural bones of two faceted ‘beaks’. The complex former roof was removed for its limited use of available floor area. A single long shed now unifies the high East side of the house and its small private individual spaces with the wide-open shared space of the lower West Side. Aligned with the stair-tower extruded from a former beak, a childrens’ loft-library and two-sided fireplace conduct the East-West interface.

Our vision for this new-build condo was to create a captivating space that celebrates our client’s individuality, bringing together a diverse mix of styles, textures, and elements while maintaining a cohesive and contemporary feel. It combines the fresh, clean look of white as the predominant color with eclectic accents that add our client’s personality and character to the space. There are several “areas'' within this multi-functional space. A large sectional in a greige velvet serves as the centerpiece of the seating area, grounded by pops of blue and pink in the custom Morrocan rug. The cobalt blue theme is carried throughout, seen in the accents, art and even the ombre glass console table of the entry. A set of two blue swivel chairs by the windows, are the perfect setting for a glass of wine in the early evening as the light glistens in through the custom white sheers. The airy dining table is made of glass and carved marble and surrounded by chrome sculptural dining chairs. Above, the multi-faceted antique mirror multi-pendant chandelier drips down from the high ceiling. Our client’s antique carved wood chairs, reupholstered in a linen zebra, flank the selenite and brass bar cabinet. In the corner by the fireplace, a lucite and cowhide desk is paired with a brightly colored vintage chair. On the right of the fireplace, a leather swing, perfectly suited for reading. Lastly, the white kitchen with shimmering blue quartzite countertops brings the design in full circle.

Entertaining and bringing people together is what this family is all about. Birthdays involve amazing cakes like you see on those TV shows, and groups of 30 people or more. Their ideal kitchen needed to accommodate that level of baking and hosting, but also support the daily rhythms of life. Our collaborative design was guided by Vastu Shastra, an ancient architectural tradition that predates feng shui. Based on Vedic traditions that harmonize human behavior with natural forces in the world, Vastu Shanstra basically suggests how to inhabit a place in the best way possible. The objectives were: -Relocate the entire kitchen so the home’s heat source (oven) is in the southeast -Incorporate symmetry into the overall design -Create a large space for entertaining – open and airy with lots of light -Simultaneously separate but join cooking and gathering spaces, allowing the cook to have a cook-specific zone that is still a part of any gathering -Individual storage for small appliances – making them easier to use -Simplicity – the space should be easy to use and maintain Design challenges we solved for: -Incorporate three load bearing points of the house -Provide structural support that was not obvious -Reconfigure kitchen utilities to another part of the home -Maximize storage space Design solutions and mindful innovations became an exciting motivation that drove the project: -Double-horseshoe design features two symmetrical islands that seat 18 people comfortably -Downdraft ventilation behind rangetop allows unobstructed views -Overhead beams for structural support -Equip nearby dining room with locking bar and wine cabinet -Roll-out appliance shelves on back of cooking island are powered for easy use -Symmetrical fridge and freezer columns separated by oven -Cabinets along back of the cooking area for everyday items -Tall pantry cabinet has four drawers for paperwork -Spacious walk-in storage pantry has a counter with power outlets -Coffee station has a trash can directly below for easy clean up -Two sinks and dishwashers for easy cleanup “A lot of relationships are built over food,” the homeowner told us. “This [kitchen] keeps our family close because we all love food. Bathroom vanity top is Q by MSI Carrara Marmi. The bathroom also features a Kohler tub and matte black fixtures. The shower features CTGC Metro White Gloss 4x12 stacked tile with Pewter grout for the shower surround and ARPA Cemente Anthracite 12x24 with Iron Grout for the shower flooring. Said the client, "After living with our original bathroom for 13 years, we wanted to update with a style that was timeless and clean. Angie showed us a fresh perspective that helped us get the most out of our space, offering ideas on color choices and products while keeping within our budget. Stories That Will Make You Rethink What’s Possible Take the 11,000-square-foot home in Beverly Hills, overlooking the famous Sunset Strip. In one child’s bedroom, we installed a 12-foot curved slide crafted from white oak. Understated location, extraordinary feature. Or consider the 35-foot-high round tower room in an 8,500-square-foot custom home bordering the Sacramento River in Northern California. This project has become our most famous installation—a stunning 33-foot curved stair-slide combination built entirely from solid black walnut, featuring 445 layers of cross-laminated hardwood and a spiral newel post that took eight months to construct in our shop. The homeowners had searched for eight years to find someone “crazy enough” to build their dream. When we completed it, one of Clyde’s trusted business partners—someone who’d seen him tackle countless unique projects—admitted he thought Clyde had lost his mind taking this one on. He genuinely didn’t believe we could pull it off. We did. And the homeowners? Still thrilled years later. Where Imagination Meets Reality But these slides aren’t just for private estates. We’ve installed a 24-foot hickory slide in an elementary school library just east of Dallas, where kids absolutely love it. And here’s something that will make you smile: We built the longest wood slide ever for a children’s hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Have you ever heard a child beg to go to the doctor? We’re pretty sure it happens in Springfield. That walnut slide stretches 45 feet long and 3 feet wide—spacious enough for three children to sit side-by-side or for an adult and child to slide together comfortably. We built it in one piece, filling an entire semi-trailer for transport. It lives in the hospital lobby, and no appointment is needed to experience it yourself. In Raleigh, North Carolina, we installed a 36-foot white oak slide in a custom home. The client loved it so much they ordered a second one—literally 15 minutes after we finished the installation. When Clyde returned to the office, there was already a check in the mailbox for slide number two. This 14,000-square-foot home now features 72 linear feet of curved white oak slide: one connecting the second floor to the main level, another linking the main floor to the finished basement. What a ride, indeed. Then there’s the curved stair-slide combination in Visalia, California—32 feet of knotty alder complemented by a hanging netted loft and climbing wall. Creative? Absolutely. Fun? Beyond measure. Vintage Cellars, Wine cellar design and build firm out of San Diego, California, worked with this celebrity client closely to create a gorgeous wine storage design to add depth and point of interest to this at home bar. This hybrid style wine cellar / wine room / custom wine cellar / custom wine room utilizes multiple styles of wine racks / wine racking to keep a modern and contemporary, yet refined and traditional feel in this home in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California. On the back wall upper section, simple triple deep metal wine racks are used to showcase wine bottles horizontally, so that high providence wine labels can be displayed and celebrated. Clean black metal wine racking looks great against the white walls behind. In the center row of the back wall, a high reveal display is featured, again for more ability and capacity to show off those prized vintages and bottles. This high reveal wine display / angled wine display style section of wood wine racking / wooden wine racking / wood wine racks / wooden wine racks has been carefully thought about by our team to ensure that the angles at which the bottles sit still maintain a wet cork. Below sits room for OWC Original Wood Cases, where the client can store special wine selections often obtained directly from the wineries themselves. Case storage is great for wines which you plan to store for long periods of time, or for those special vintages you might be saving for a special occasion. Diamond Bins finish out this section in the back right corner. Diamond Bin / Diamond Storage / Diamond Wine Storage Bins are interesting design features and utilitarian, leaving you the option to store bottles neck out for easy access. On the right side of this traditional modern hybrid custom wine cellar / custom wine room / custom wine display, individual bottle storage above, wine glass storage, and a small countertop are the highlights. Cabinetry below finishes the side which butts up to a dividing wall and into the floor to ceiling glass doors in front. Dark stained Alder wood was chosen as the material for the wine racks / wine racking / wine rack. The custom finishing and staining, completed by Wine Cellar Design and Builders Vintage Cellars, perfectly accentuates the remaining features of the home bar, bar chairs / bar stools, and other wood features throughout the room. The small / mid-sized custom wine storage space attached to this custom bar makes a great addition to this living room. Hosting get togethers in this space feels so easy. Suspenders™ LED system is a delicately scaled, modular system of interconnected elements and suspended LED components. It can be configured as individual lighting sculptures or as a tiered web of infinite scope and variety. Using today’s leadingedge technology, Robert Sonneman has reimagined and greatly expanded his original Suspenders concept from the late 1980s with a lighter scale, increased capability, and wider range of precisely scaled luminaires. Because of the extensive range of possibilities offered by Suspenders, we have preconfigured a collection of arrangements that you can select as shown. You can also modify these arrangements using our configuration tables, or use them as inspiration to create your own completely custom configurations. We will continue to build upon and expand Suspenders as an openframed illumination system of innovative possibilities as we move forward. Two 12” Power Bars, each supported by two 18” field-cuttable rod Power Feed Hangers, hang from a ceiling mounted Power Feed with outlet box mounted transformer. Two 48” Power Bars hang from the above bars perpendicularly, each supported by two 6” Power Bar Hangers. Luminaires hang evenly spaced on each of the lower bars from 6” Luminaire Hangers.
