LiLu InteriorsTwo bedrooms became a master suite that breathes “aaahhhh” with a quiet blue and neutral color palette, super-soft floor rug, and cozy velvet chair. The durable, low-maintenance master bath, which retains another bedroom’s unique footprint, features vanity with wash-up and mirrored makeup area on opposite ends, and built-in cubbies for daily necessities. The ombre-tile and Corian shower and Corian countertops ensure easy clean up.

LiLu InteriorsLiLu’s most recent work with these long-time clients was to freshen up significant spaces in their Minneapolis home. Staying true to our original concept of creating a traditional, welcoming, and comfortable retreat, these homeowners have expanded on their love for living and entertaining in a sophisticated, yet casual style. The great room is light and bright, featuring two large sofas that anchor the seating areas on both ends of the room. Original pieces of furniture were covered in neutral fabrics that emphasize texture. Accessories inject color and detail into the space. The dining area invites guests to pull up a reupholstered chair and enjoy long conversations around the custom-designed table. A large area rug stretches across the floor as a natural centerpiece of color and pattern. It’s one of several, including the whimsical take on a tree of life, that are custom-designed for the space. The guest room was updated to be more inviting for returning adult children and their spouses. Previous furnishings were replaced with nightstands and a large, custom bed that more closely complement the sophisticated feel of the rest of the home.

LiLu InteriorsOur remodel of this family home took advantage of a breathtaking view of Lake Minnetonka. We installed a four-chair lounge on what was previously a formal porch, satisfying the couple’s desire for a warm, cozy ambience. An uncommon shade of pale, soothing blue as the base color creates a cohesive, intimate feeling throughout the house. Custom pieces, including a server and bridge, and mahjong tables, communicate to visitors the homeowners’ unique sensibilities cultivated over a lifetime. The dining room features a richly colored area rug featuring fruits and leaves – an old family treasure.

LiLu InteriorsDuring a recent remodel, these homeowners in North Oaks left their master bath for last. And when it was time to update, they listened to the recommendation of their trusted contractor. “Our contractor said that LiLu really gets what their clients are looking for,” Angi said. “I totally agree.” During the planning stages LiLu determined the footprint didn’t need to change. With those parameters in place, LiLu was free to significantly alter the space plan overall. After gutting everything, they moved walls and rerouted plumbing to make the flow more efficient. By relocating the vanities, and then shifting and enclosing the shower in glass, LiLu dramatically improved the vista from the bedroom. Aesthetically, LiLu combined dark wood with gray lacquered cabinets, they painted the room in lighter gray tones to brighten up the space, and they created a sense of verticality. Above all, the homeowners wanted her master bathroom to feel luxurious. So LiLu included several up-scale details and custom amenities in their design—a towel warmer, a built-in hamper, and a built-in hairdryer all make her dream a reality. Now whether it’s the beginning of a new day or the end of a long one, this space makes family life feel a bit more relaxing.

LiLu InteriorsThe picture our clients had in mind was a boutique hotel lobby with a modern feel and their favorite art on the walls. We designed a space perfect for adult and tween use, like entertaining and playing billiards with friends. We used alder wood panels with nickel reveals to unify the visual palette of the basement and rooms on the upper floors. Beautiful linoleum flooring in black and white adds a hint of drama. Glossy, white acrylic panels behind the walkup bar bring energy and excitement to the space. We also remodeled their Jack-and-Jill bathroom into two separate rooms – a luxury powder room and a more casual bathroom, to accommodate their evolving family needs.

This gorgeous complex consists of two twin towers of 60 floors and a total of 350 designer-appointed residences including bespoke penthouses & “SkyLofts.” Standard units have 1-4 bedrooms and range in size between 804 – 3,776 interior square footage. Penthouses and SkyLofts range from 5,000 – 12,000 interior square footage with expansive outdoor terraces and private pools. What is more, One River Point will delight its exclusive clientele by providing top-of-the-line amenities and services including an infinity-edge pool with poolside café, restaurant and elite butler service, kid’s indoor and outdoor activity areas, full-service med spa and indoor and outdoor wellness center with private treatment rooms, among others.

Terrain LabsThe Marketing office - Reception , Waiting lounge and M.D. cabin had to be squeezed into an extremely tight volume for our resort in Auroville Pondicherry - The Sprouts.
We decided to take advantage of the wooden louvred doors typical to the Architecture of Franco Tamil Architecture of Pondicherry and designed a collapsible full height doors that can close in 2 ways - 1 separating the M.D cabin from the waiting space and - 2 Extending the M.D. cabin with double the seating and room size by closing in the waiting space from the Reception space.
The design palette had to again adhere to the concept described already ( read the earlier post ) .
The reception desk is a Gunny bag fabric woven metal frame with a simple white duco painted panel with the signage backlit. The Gunny bag is one material that can handle extreme weathering and a natural fabric , it displays both the strength and flexibility - both properties that the brand prefers to showcase as their core values as a brand towards their clientele.
The background to M.Ds desk and the desk itself are both adorned by Live edge wooden slabs that speak of the grit that comes with age / legacy .
A floating rattan chandelier shaped like a canoe (due to the proximity to beach), all furniture that are inherently wood and rattan, keep the warm grounded theme in place.
