It started with a phone call inquiring about doing a basic deck remodel. When Chris Kehoe arrived on site to learn more about the home layout, budget, and timeline for the homeowners, it became clear that there was far more to the story.
The family was looking for more than just a deck replacement. They were looking to rebuild an outdoor living space that fit lifestyle. There was so much more than what you can input into a contact form that they were considering when reaching out to Orange County Deck Co. They were picturing their dream outdoor living space, which included:
- an inviting pool area
- stunning hardscape to separate spaces
- a secure, maintenance-free second level deck to improve home flow
- space under the deck that could double as hosting space with cover
- beautiful landscaping to enjoy while they sipped their glass of wine at sunset

This water feature is pondless and used for its relaxing sounds and year long visual effects. Water features are easily one of the most impactful pieces to any landscape installation. We were inspired by a waterfall we saw in Upstate New York when designing and installing this feature. The use of the birch branches gave the space a feel like it had always been there.

After purchasing this Sunnyvale home several years ago, it was finally time to create the home of their dreams for this young family. With a wholly reimagined floorplan and primary suite addition, this home now serves as headquarters for this busy family.
The wall between the kitchen, dining, and family room was removed, allowing for an open concept plan, perfect for when kids are playing in the family room, doing homework at the dining table, or when the family is cooking. The new kitchen features tons of storage, a wet bar, and a large island. The family room conceals a small office and features custom built-ins, which allows visibility from the front entry through to the backyard without sacrificing any separation of space.
The primary suite addition is spacious and feels luxurious. The bathroom hosts a large shower, freestanding soaking tub, and a double vanity with plenty of storage. The kid's bathrooms are playful while still being guests to use. Blues, greens, and neutral tones are featured throughout the home, creating a consistent color story. Playful, calm, and cheerful tones are in each defining area, making this the perfect family house.

Custom Miralis Cabinets were featured in this remodel in three tones, Pastel Gray, Grigio Pine and Black Satin. Summerhill quartz counters by Cambria were installed with dramatic waterfall edges on either side. Large format porcelain tile was used for the backsplash along with accent lighting. The continuous flow of cabinetry and countertops in the living area is now the main focal point. The new accent wall hosts a 75” TV and has made this grand living space even more enjoyable.

Evok Design Co. Evok Design Co. Here are the after photos of a great room redesign for a mountain retreat in the beautiful blue ridge mountains. Our challenge was to make this space feel warm and comfortable despite the amazing high ceilings. Before we got to it, this space felt cold and cavernous! But after we were done, it literally had a warm glow, and we hosted a party of 200 in this home for a wedding reception the night after the install was complete! (whew!) The owners of this home are a celebrity couple, who wish to remain unnamed, but they were thrilled with the results and so were we! The transition was AMAZING! We had the help of the best window treatment creators in town! We brought the ceiling down with some warm lighting, and used local photography. This is the couples third home, so the budget was not astronomical, but it sufficed. We used Bradington Young and Norwalk furniture, and luxury accessories from all over NC. We also had a custom mantle piece built after these photos were taken.

Finishing your basement leaves many different approaches. Finding the perfect area to host can often lead you here, with a wet bar and home theatre area. Hand carved wooden pillars are the final touches on these marble countertops.
