We custom made these built in cubbies. They have storage nooks, coat hooks, and beadboard back capped with a top rail. We added a small wood doorstop on the lower right to prevent the door from banging into piece.
After tearing down this home's existing addition, we set out to create a new addition with a modern farmhouse feel that still blended seamlessly with the original house. The addition includes a kitchen great room, laundry room and sitting room. Outside, we perfectly aligned the cupola on top of the roof, with the upper story windows and those with the lower windows, giving the addition a clean and crisp look. Using granite from Chester County, mica schist stone and hardy plank siding on the exterior walls helped the addition to blend in seamlessly with the original house. Inside, we customized each new space by paying close attention to the little details. Reclaimed wood for the mantle and shelving, sleek and subtle lighting under the reclaimed shelves, unique wall and floor tile, recessed outlets in the island, walnut trim on the hood, paneled appliances, and repeating materials in a symmetrical way work together to give the interior a sophisticated yet comfortable feel.

This entryway and living area are part of an adventuresome project my wife and I embarked upon to create a complete apartment in the basement of our townhouse. We designed a floor plan that creatively and efficiently used all of the 385-square-foot-space, without sacrificing beauty, comfort or function – and all without breaking the bank! To maximize our budget, we did the work ourselves and added everything from thrift store finds to DIY wall art to bring it all together.
Our normal décor tends towards earth tones and old-world styles. In this project we had the chance to branch out and play with a new style and color palette. We chose orange for the living area’s accent wall and paired this with royal blue to create a look that is warm, bright, and bold.

Contemporary accent pieces, such as the square wall hooks and sleek console table, were chosen to provide relief from the heavy, traditional fixtures in this entryway.

My customer had a great idea to take the doors off her reach-in coat closet next to the garage and turn it into a mini-mudroom for her children's backpacks, shoes and school stuff.
I was able to give her plenty of storage including 5 cubbies, a hanging section for coats, hooks for backpacks, shoe shelving. We added a chocolate pear cap shelf and bead board backing to complete the design.

Effuse your home hallways and foyers with a classy rustic ambiance by furnishing with our Redvale Solid Mahogany Wood Grey Hall Tree Bench with Storage!
The simple looks of this piece are complemented by a sleek design and a stylish visual grace that can make any entryway, foyer, or hallway look absolutely stunning. The rustic accents and hand-rubbed finish give the solid mahogany wood hand craftsmanship a lot more nuance and couple well with its great heirloom quality.
The design of this hall tree itself is elegantly plain, with only the necessary functional elements acting as an embellishment. With its cornice-like top frame and a stylishly tall middle, it’s perfectly suitable to become the centerpiece of any mudroom. The five 3 prong hooks have been strategically installed at an adequate height so you can easily hang your hats, coats, etc.
The bottom half is connected to this back-frame with simple corbel-style extensions. The beautiful natural finish of this solid mahogany wood hall tree bench is complemented by a great visual versatility. You can easily pair it up with all sorts of interior design ambiances, including but not limited to rustic, contemporary, transitional and more.

This Boston area small mudroom bench and storage packs so much into a tiny space. In this design there is room for shoes, hooks for coats, open shelves for basets as well as a deep storage unit for hanging coats used less often. Cabinets that flip up make the most of the space that is above the reachable height of the unit. Drawers at the base of the storage unit provide easy access to the lower portion of that deep storage cabinet, typically difficult to reach with just shelves alone. Door fronts are in a shaker style, and crown and base molding complete the top and bottom of the units, and a butcher block bench seat adds the finishing touch to this small but useful entryway space.
Closettec is the Boston and Providence area’s ONLY custom closet fabricators to combine custom closet, cabinetry, wood, stone, metal and glass fabrication all under one roof. A ground floor mudroom features a center island bench with lots storage drawers underneath. This bench is a perfect place to sit and lace up hiking boots, get ready for snowshoeing, or just hanging out before a swim. Surrounding the mudroom are more window seats and floor-to-ceiling storage cabinets made in rustic knotty pine architectural millwork. Down the hall, are two changing rooms with separate water closets and in a few more steps, the room opens up to a kitchenette with a large sink. A nearby laundry area is conveniently located to handle wet towels and beachwear. Woodmeister Master Builders made all the custom cabinetry and performed the general contracting. Marcia D. Summers was the interior designer. Greg Premru Photography

This functional yet stylish mudroom is a perfect blend of practicality and charm. One side features rich navy paneling adorned with coat hooks, complemented by a built-in wood-topped bench seat that invites easy transitions from outdoors to in. Above the coat hooks, sleek navy storage cabinets provide ample space to tuck away essentials.
On the opposite wall, a workspace centers around a single-bowl stainless steel sink set into a pristine white quartz countertop. Surrounding the sink are more navy cabinets, offering abundant storage both above and below. A mosaic backsplash in shades of grey and cream adds a subtle yet striking visual texture, tying the room together with a touch of elegance.
