To the right of the refrigerator & freezer columns is a tall cabinet designed for the built-in Thermador steam and convection oven. The convention steam oven is a relatively new technology for homes, but its versatility and food quality is amazing. To the right of this is a pull-out appliance pantry which provides easy access and storage for a stand mixer, blender, and any other appliance you do not want to clutter the counter. The most visible wall of the kitchen features the 36-inch Thermador Professional Series Harmony Gas Range with Griddle. Between the range and custom designed wood hood, a framed mosaic tile accent in the backsplash, creates a focal point. To clear the air, the Professional Series Thermador 42-inch ventilation insert provides excellent exhaust capabilities, as well as providing multi-level, vivid LED lights for beautiful illumination. The wall cabinetry symmetrically flanks the custom hood, utilizing deeper wall cabinetry on each end, allowing for storage of oversized dishware. The base cabinetry on this wall is made up of drawers, except for the corner, which is a Kesseböhmer LeMans II. This specially designed shelf system allows ease of access in underutilized blind corners. The dual action articulation system with soft close mechanism ensures a smooth open and close. Rounding the corner to the outside wall, the base cabinetry was built to a narrower depth, providing additional space for the island, as well as easier access to the new larger pass-thru window which serves the screen porch. The client selected Black Vermont granite countertops with an ogee edge to contrast the Linen White painted cabinetry. The door to the screen porch was replaced with a Marvin Exterior Door with a raised panel at the bottom of the 3⁄4 glass door. Marvin Windows replaced the other windows in the space increasing the energy efficiency and value of the home. To establish the breakfast nook, a bench with drawers and an upholstered seat was built into the bay area of the room. Custom bookshelves were built with open shelves, cabinet doors, and drawers on either side of the fireplace. A new stone hearth and fireplace surround were installed. Above the existing mantel we built a recessed space for the flat screen television hiding all wiring inside the walls for a completely clean look. The space that was once a desk was transformed into a bar area. The glass shelves and glass cabinet front liquor cabinet stand out. But this bar area has hidden secrets. Tucked beneath the black granite is a Thermador under-counter double drawer refrigerator with matching wood front panels. They blend in perfectly with the cabinets. A wireless printer is easily accessed on a slide out drawer. Plus, what looks like merely wooden panels on the wall are concealing recessed storage for more bottles and glasses! Overhead recessed lighting and speaker system provide illumination and entertainment through the entire space. This luxury home had original, solid oak flooring through most of the first floor which the homeowner obviously wanted to keep but were in desperate need of repair and refinishing. Our master craftsmen wove in new wood flooring to match the old where needed, particularly where walls had been changed and where the floor was damaged. We sanded the floors, smoothing away years of wear and tear. The entire wood floor was then uniformly stained, making it impossible to differentiate where any repairs were made. A young chef wanted this kitchen to be modern, fully functional, innovative and cool. A little industrial meets a lot contemporary, meets warm wood and cold quartz. As one wall came down, we did our best to create an island, but with the narrow space, it truly made no sense. So to save as much counter space as we could, yet be able to seat as many people as possible, we created a walnut topped peninsula with a waterfall drop leaf. The leaf lifts up, to reveal a waterfall that matches the rest of the kitchen. It was one of the most difficult things we have ever done, as the leaf and counter are solid walnut and very heavy. A hidden leg helps to bear the weight when the leaf is opened up. The rest of this main floor, open to the kitchen, boasts many modern design elemends, such as sleek, curved furnishings, and fun lighting fixtures. A deature wall in the living area houses a tv and is clad in a custom tile and walnut design. Just look at how they dealt with the air return on the wall! This project was a total renovation from basement to upper level, a total of four floors, with the goal of really outdoing ourselves for this young client.

This bespoke, modern floor to ceiling media entertainment unit features made to measure cupboards, drawers, TV cavity and open shelving. Contemporary style, traditional construction The handcrafted cabinetry features flat-faced streamline doors and drawer fronts. Flat-faced cupboard doors, often called slab doors or flat panel doors, are single- surface doors with no frames, bevels, or detailing for a clean, minimalist look. The doors are fitted with concealed soft closing hinges and drawers are mounted on fully extending concealed soft closing drawer slides. The solidly fixed, square-edged, thick engineered shelves and uprights with a 42mm visual front edge have exceptional strength, stability and a bold, chunky, consistent aesthetic. Beautifully finished for a high-end look The cabinets feature knurled pull handles and knobs with a dark brushed brass finish. The textured pattern of knurled hardware has a tactile feel and provides a superior grip while hiding fingerprints. Knurled knobs and handles like these here work well with modern cabinets, flat-panel doors and slab drawers and create a high-end, detailed appearance. The entire media unit has been flawlessly finished in an eco-friendly, water-based, handcrafted paint from Farrow & Ball in Dimity No. 2008, a very pale taupe that is a sophisticated, warm neutral. The surface has a beautiful, wipeable matt finish that is exceptionally durable. This pale taupe colour creates a ‘quiet luxury’ look without the harshness of pure white. While stark white can often feel cold or clinical, this very light taupe is inherently warmer and more comforting, making the living room feel instantly settled and inviting.

123 Remodeling crew and our in-house interior designer Jenna Rose completely renovated this large kitchen in Skokie, Illinois. Our team created a fresh and modern space to cook and gather with family and friends over a large dining table. We started with structural changes and demolished a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and dining area to create an open concept. Then we built a massive Carrera marble quartz island that is as functional as luxurious looking with a built-in wine cooler, dishwasher, and microwave. Three stylish pendant lights and a dozen of recessed can lights make the room feel larger and brighter. We opted-in for a counter-depth stainless sub-zero refrigerator and encased it with a custom-made cabinet extension. While white is traditional and the most popular color for kitchens, it's easy for such a room to look stark and cold. So our designer mixed glossy white cabinets with gray backsplash tiles and white-gray countertops. We also intermixed it with the natural oak shelves and plant decor to add warm contrasting elements. Taking inspiration from some of their artwork, we added a deep reddish pink to the walls, ceiling and woodwork, a custom mix by Little Greene, to add life to the pool room which was flat, cold and unwelcoming. In addition to the paint we added drinks shelves, a new cue rack and an upholstered pelmet with integrated uplighting to light the exposed beams and add some drama to the space. The lounge originally had an inglenook fireplace and felt a little dated, so we added a media wall with built-in 3-sided fire. Taking inspiration from the existing Little Green Ormond Street wallpaper, we used pinks, oranges and blues to tie the room together. The open plan space, light and bright, painted in Portland Stone, needed a casual but compact daytime seating area. We again used colour inspiration from our clients collection of artwork for the colour scheme and designed a fully bespoke curved sofa to soften the angular shape of the room. We painted the hallway in Putti, a dark green/grey to add depth and interest when you enter the house. Using a crucial trading stripy stair carpet to add pops of colours from the adjoining rooms to tie it all together.

The timber frame pavilion includes a brick fireplace with ample firewood storage beneath, large bluestone hearth, and a high-definition smart monitor above the timber mantle. An outdoor kitchen with bar seating uses construction materials that mimic the adjacent pavilion. On the upper level, the fire pit terrace is framed by custom arbors that capture sweeping views of the natural setting. A private, hot- and cold-water shower with changing room is convenient when returning from the beach or washing up after using the secluded axe yard. Lush plantings are installed for seasonal variety and color. Carefully placed furnishings, site lighting, and outdoor audio accentuate the experience. Balancing the cut and fill of the topography in the backyard while minimizing grading impacts, the wooded pool space respectfully embraces its surroundings and compliments the architectural character of the existing residence.
