Our basic idea consists of shifting to ceramics all the living passions so that ceramics itself rises as metaphorical reference for life styles and little daily fads. So the sea and sailing, flowers, gardens, animals, classic sport, country-side and leisure time become all bricks of our imagination. Just like a classic novel, Grand Elegance collection describes our tradition that emphasizes individual attitudes and choices.

The refreshed aesthetic achieves a transitional design with a touch of rustic charm and hints of mid-century elements. Dual-finish custom cabinets provide a warm and refined backdrop, with a bourbon stain grounding the lower cabinets and an off-white painted finish on the uppers that adds contrast while brightening the space. A vertically stacked rustic Zellige tile backsplash complements the design and adds a subtle reference to the vineyard landscape.

This couple found us recommended on a local community page and after our first meeting knew we were the right people for their project. We had so much fun playing with different color options. Between countertop material and tile they jumped at the chance to go through our design process. We made it quick and easy to build out the renderings for them to see everything all together. Right after Demo Day they decided they wanted to change their wall color to go better with the cabinet colors they fell in love with. We grabbed our color wheel, made a recommendation and the walls were painted within days of their decision. We couldn’t believe the difference it made! Their kitchen went from Olive and dated to Jasper Stone and refreshed (that’s the wall colors we are referring to…). Now that we have shifted some of the appliances and installed the storage solutions the flow and functionality are outstanding. Happy Kitchen = Happy Cooking

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… A returning client wished to create an office environment that would refuel his childhood and current passion: Star Wars. Creating exhibit-style surroundings to incorporate iconic elements from the epic franchise was key to the success for this home office. A life-sized statue of Harrison Ford’s character Han Solo, a longstanding piece of the homeowner’s collection, is now featured in a custom glass display case is the room’s focal point. The glowing backlit pattern behind the statue is a reference to the floor design shown in the scene featuring Han being frozen in carbonite. The command center is surrounded by iconic patterns custom-designed in backlit laser-cut metal panels. The exquisite millwork around the room was refinished, and porcelain floor slabs were cut in a pattern to resemble the chess table found on the legendary spaceship Millennium Falcon. A metal-clad fireplace with a hidden television mounting system, an iridescent ceiling treatment, wall coverings designed to add depth, a custom-designed desk made by a local artist, and an Italian rocker chair that appears to be from a galaxy, far, far, away... are all design elements that complete this once-in-a-galaxy home office that would make any Jedi proud. Within seconds of entering, guests form opinions not just about the space, but about the brand, the service, and the story. At its best, the hotel lobby isn’t just a transitional space; it’s a destination. A well-designed lobby invites, orients, calms, and excites, all at once. It acts as a stage where luxury is not merely seen, but sensed. In this article, Ar. Anil Badan, Founder and Principal Architect at Studio B Architects, shares how hotel lobbies go beyond functionality, becoming emotive spaces that leave a lasting impression from the very first step inside. Designing for Emotion, Not Just Function Every guest arrives with a subconscious expectation. Whether stepping into a serene resort or an urban boutique hotel, the lobby must immediately align with the tone of their stay. Lighting, for instance, isn’t just about visibility; it’s about setting mood. A warm, ambient glow suggests calm sophistication, while bold, sculptural fixtures can convey modern opulence. Seating arrangements must strike a balance between social energy and quiet retreat. Natural materials, wood, stone, and linen evoke authenticity and calm. These elements work collectively to influence how a guest feels within the first few moments. Branding Through Architecture A hotel lobby is also a silent storyteller. Every finish, curve, and fixture communicates something about the brand's identity. For us, design isn’t about imitation, it’s about interpretation. We interpret the soul of the property and translate it into spatial language. For instance, a curved wall might reference local landscapes. A palette of coastal hues might evoke a regional narrative. In doing so, the lobby becomes more than a threshold; it becomes an anchor of place and memory. Fluidity, Function, and Flow In luxury hospitality, the lobby is often a hybrid zone, part reception, part lounge, part co-working, part café. Designing for this fluidity means considering flow and flexibility. Wayfinding should be intuitive. Transitions between zones must be seamless, often achieved through changes in flooring, ceiling heights, or lighting zones. Materials must withstand footfall yet retain elegance. Every element must serve both beauty and purpose. Ultimately, a successful hotel lobby lingers in memory long after check-out. It is not just a space, it is a statement! One that says: you’ve arrived. And in a world where hospitality is no longer just about service, but about feeling seen, understood, and inspired, the lobby is where that promise begins!

The Portola Valley Residence and Pavilion is a composition of staggered and interlocking rectangular spaces that cling to the slope as it gradually wraps around the hillside. As the interior floor level slowly steps down, echoing the natural grade, it increases the floor-to-ceiling height, flooding the space with expanded views and abundant natural light. Carefully defined interior spaces with plaster and stone veneer walls offer a fitting backdrop for the owner's dramatic art collection. The home’s terraced roof design and careful selection of natural materials equally complement its human and natural environments.

In a stylistic departure from the main house, the 750 sf guest pavilion combines three small geometric elements to form a pleasant guest, entertainment space . . . and yard sculpture.

Client was referred to Seacliff through another loyal customer for over 30 years Clients lived in Tasmania and need a trust worthy communicative Builder. The house was in very poor condition as it was very old, ( we found a date in the demo stage (1922) The client and architect wanted to keep the cottage look from the street. Inside it is a different story - spacious light filled rooms are bright and welcoming with thenatural Australian timber floor really warming the atmosphere. This was a complete build - Kitchen, decks, 3 Bathrooms, new cladding roofing and the list goes on. On completion a very happy client collected the keys to a completed house

This entry’s design was inspired by the feel of an 12th century English manor. • This home has a very personal meaning for the designer as the clients are friends they have worked with for over twenty years. The home design comes from a classic English country manor style with a few updates to accommodate the homeowner’s preferences. • The years they have known each other gave the designer the opportunity to understand their taste and needs. This home is truly a reflection of the owner’s lives. • The interior design was influenced by respecting the homeowner’s collection of furnishings and adding new art plus lots of color. The stair railings are a reference to classic English design and custom made. • The most outstanding special feature was created in the entry, a small door for children to enter under the stairs was trompe-l'oeil. The small door now appears as a large antique door with small windows featuring the owner’s dogs. • A dog friendly home with a large welcome mat to friends and family is perfect for entertaining and relaxing in the warm and enchanting house. • The cabinets, floors and lighting were selected for durable use and worked to integrate the home’s history.
