This once traditional bedroom received a modern update by the team at Perceptions. Transforming this space into a corporate hub was no small feat! Sliding glass doors create a work out nook to house the family's bulky treadmill. A multi-function media wall helps the homeowners keep up with world events, while a sleek walnut table serves as a conference center for meetings. When hosting visitors cozy seating and a comfy sleeper sofa instantly transform the space into a visitors retreat.

Inquire About Our Design Services What we did: Outlined the furniture plan for the entire condo and then made sure everything came to life the way it was supposed to on paper. Reworked the color scheme for the space and repainted: We refreshed her kitchen by selecting a vibrant color backsplash. The peanut butter colored walls in the office room just had to go. Nobody could work in there! Custom designed the bedding in her master bedroom. Installed Hunter Douglas window treatments, and custom drapery that provided her with stylish privacy. Sourced all art and accessories for her space. We infused her amazing cultural collection with some added chicness. What I LOVE: The seagulls in her office. This was a perfect Etsy find. Those nightstands in her bedroom - can you say AH-Mazing! Her view. I was not personally responsible for that, but to work in that space was breathtaking! A classic, elegant master suite for the husband and wife, and a fun, sophisticated entertainment space for their family -- it was a dream project! To turn the master suite into a luxury retreat for two young executives, we mixed rich textures with a playful, yet regal color palette of purples, grays, yellows and ivories. For fun family gatherings, where both children and adults are encouraged to play, I envisioned a handsome billiard room and bar, inspired by the husband’s favorite pub.

Small transitional freestanding desk carpeted study room photo in Other with beige walls

This second floor office was converted into a Kids Study Room - complete with built in bookshelves and desks, custom painted antique mirrors, and a huge comfy sectional for lounging. We started with an existing rug and built a rich color palette from it with terra-cotta and golds adding warm color to the space. Layered in lots of patterned throw pillows and custom desk cushions to add fun and texture. We even added a wall painted with dry erase paint for homework help!

The grandchildren's playroom has a corner for grandmother to relax. There is a corner bench seat for comfy reading, lots of storage shelves and cabinets plus a play table that adjusts from child height to standard desk height. All of this is done in a brilliant blue with geometric wallpaper accent.

We took a pass through room without purpose and turned it into a vibrant, functional, high design office that works well for the entire family. Wrap around shelving, inspired by mid century designs, gave the room loads of personality and storage for both husband and wife, and their 2 year old son. While children's books, crafting tools and educational supplies are stored on the easy-access lower shelves, work materials and reference books are stored on the top shelves. A room-wide desk provides an ample side by side work space for both professionals to share comfortably.

we created this cozy reading library just off the the kitchen by using built in shelving around the gas fireplace, and two comfy swivel chairs upholstered in a large scale hounds tooth fabric.
