The original game room served as the catalyst for transforming Evermore into a rustic industrial retreat. The room was connected to the dining area through an awkward vestibule which unnecessarily narrowed the room and rather than connect it to the rest of the home, it isolated it.
The vestibule along with approximately 10ft of the common wall was removed opening up the game room to the entire living area. Over strenuous objections from local contractors we removed all of the log & twig railings and replaced them with what has become a continual conversation piece.

Entertaining in a bathroom never looked so good. Probably a thought that never crossed your mind, but a space as unique as this can do just that. The fusion of so many elements: an open concept shower, freestanding tub, washer/dryer organization, toilet room and urinal created an exciting spacial plan. Ultimately, the freestanding tub creates the first vantage point. This breathtaking view creates a calming effect and each angle pivoting off this point exceeds the next. Following the open concept shower, is the washer/dryer and storage closets which double as decor, incorporating mirror into their doors. The double vanity stands in front of a textured wood plank tile laid horizontally establishing a modern backdrop. Lastly, a rustic barn door separates a toilet and a urinal, an uncharacteristic residential choice that pairs well with beer, wings, and hockey.

There are two guest rooms and a common room connecting the two suites. Each has a distinct style. The green guest room is more masculine and features some vintage pieces and a blend of textures, patterns, and colors. The blue guest suite has a crisp blue and white color scheme. And the common area offers plenty of comfortable seating, a fireplace with mosaic tile surround, custom built in bookcases and storage, a game table, TV, and a one of a kind oriental area rug.

At the top of the stair way, the bedrooms have a common sitting space for reading, gaming or watching tv. This provides ample space for the kids or guests to have a separate place to relax.

Set in Montana's tranquil Shields River Valley, the Shilo Ranch Compound is a collection of structures that were specifically built on a relatively smaller scale, to maximize efficiency. The main house has two bedrooms, a living area, dining and kitchen, bath and adjacent greenhouse, while two guest homes within the compound can sleep a total of 12 friends and family. There's also a common gathering hall, for dinners, games, and time together. The overall feel here is of sophisticated simplicity, with plaster walls, concrete and wood floors, and weathered boards for exteriors. The placement of each building was considered closely when envisioning how people would move through the property, based on anticipated needs and interests. Sustainability and consumption was also taken into consideration, as evidenced by the photovoltaic panels on roof of the garage, and the capability to shut down any of the compound's buildings when not in use.

The Laurel was a project that required a rigorous lesson in southern architectural vernacular. The site being located in the hot climate of the Carolina shoreline, the client was eager to capture cross breezes and utilize outdoor entertainment spaces. The home was designed with three covered porches, one partially covered courtyard, and one screened porch, all accessed by way of French doors and extra tall double-hung windows. The open main level floor plan centers on common livings spaces, while still leaving room for a luxurious master suite. The upstairs loft includes two individual bed and bath suites, providing ample room for guests. Native materials were used in construction, including a metal roof and local timber.

Kids workstation. We love how this subtle wallpaper accent wall brings additional texture and a pinch of warmth to this lofted kids workspace from our Artisan home.

Our team worked with Silliman Group, the building owners, to build a new entrance canopy and to expand the common spaces in the building to include a workout room, gaming center, lounge and mail delivery areas.
