JRP Design & RemodelOur client had been living in her beautiful lakeside retreat for about 3 years. All around were stunning views of the lake and mountains, but the view from inside was minimal. It felt dark and closed off from the gorgeous waterfront mere feet away. She desired a bigger kitchen, natural light, and a contemporary look. Referred to JRP by a subcontractor our client walked into the showroom one day, took one look at the modern kitchen in our design center, and was inspired!
After talking about the frustrations of dark spaces and limitations when entertaining groups of friends, the homeowner and the JRP design team emerged with a new vision. Two walls between the living room and kitchen would be eliminated and structural revisions were needed for a common wall shared a wall with a neighbor. With the wall removals and the addition of multiple slider doors, the main level now has an open layout.
Everything in the home went from dark to luminous as sunlight could now bounce off white walls to illuminate both spaces. Our aim was to create a beautiful modern kitchen which fused the necessities of a functional space with the elegant form of the contemporary aesthetic. The kitchen playfully mixes frameless white upper with horizontal grain oak lower cabinets and a fun diagonal white tile backsplash. Gorgeous grey Cambria quartz with white veining meets them both in the middle. The large island with integrated barstool area makes it functional and a great entertaining space.
The master bedroom received a mini facelift as well. White never fails to give your bedroom a timeless look. The beautiful, bright marble shower shows what's possible when mixing tile shape, size, and color. The marble mosaic tiles in the shower pan are especially bold paired with black matte plumbing fixtures and gives the shower a striking visual.
Layers, light, consistent intention, and fun! - paired with beautiful, unique designs and a personal touch created this beautiful home that does not go unnoticed.

LiLu InteriorsChris and Marna believe in Ohana Mau Loa which means “family forever.” As return clients, they knew LiLu could help them build a vacation home in Hawaii that would provide a desirable and comfortable gathering place for four adult children and their spouses and 11 grandchildren. A central common space at the heart of the home with separate living quarters surrounding it helps to accommodate everyone with both shared and personal living spaces. Each has its own personality that showcases playful references to Big Island life. And yet the overall design concept weaves together a love of world travel with traditional tastes. Built with mahogany wood that is a staple of island construction, treasured heirlooms and other personal keepsakes are the perfect complement to make this dream home feel welcoming and familiar. Fabrics, finishes and furnishings were selected with the sea in mind and to accommodate wet swim suits, bare feet, and sandy shoes.

Ascent Contracting IncOriginally built in 1908, this Berkeley home had undergone several additions that left it modern but lacking character. Inspired by a Parisian loft visited during a holiday in France, the family partnered with Ascent to create a two-story side addition and restore the home’s historic charm.
The project added a bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, and a light-filled den—now the family’s favorite space. Throughout the home, we refreshed every room with a thoughtful, high-contrast palette and bespoke details. To gently define common areas, we introduced a custom threshold with interior windows and molding between the living and dining spaces, along with arched pocket doors set within substantial 24-inch walls leading to the den. Additional details include leaded glass sidelites, an arched transom window, stone rowlock, wall molding, a double-sided fireplace with custom mantles, brass gallery rails, beadboard, playful wallpapers, ceiling medallions, an upholstered window seat framed by bookshelves, tall windows styled as French doors, and layered lighting for a warm, inviting feel.

Pro Dunk HoopsKathryn has turned an ordinary two car driveway into great play area for the family by installing the Pro Dunk Silver basketball system. 20 feet deep and 30 feet wide is a common driveway size perfect for some three on three pickup games or practicing your jump shot. I might recommend the Gold system if your have more demanding players as you will see an increase in performance and will be able to take advantage of the wider 60 inch backboard by getting more bank shots from the wings. This is a Pro Dunk Silver Basketball System that was purchased in February of 2013. It was installed on a 20 ft wide by a 30 ft deep playing area in Lee Summit, MO.
