This Glencoe kitchen remodel brings modern conveniences to a classic home. The client for this kitchen remodel wanted to take their outdated kitchen with mismatched fixtures to the next level. To accomplish the homeowners’ dreams, we built a symmetrical island and a centered cooktop with an oversized stainless steel hood. The three decorative sides of the island feature no visible hardware and touch latch operation to retain its sleek lines, further accenting the focus on updated style and function.
To make this kitchen remodel complete, we installed Cambria quartz countertops, acid etched glass wall cabinets, a hidden paneled fridge/freezer combo, and a recessed coffee machine to maintain the clean aesthetic without sacrificing functionality within the space. The kitchen also features a linear aqua glass tile backsplash that creates color contrast for a compelling focal point. Custom storage cabinets with wide two-door access, spinning lazy Susan shelves, and extra wide shelf storage round out this modern kitchen remodel in Glencoe.

This project demonstrates how a base Revit model can be transformed into a realistic visualization using Lumion rendering. The design showcases clean modern lines, an elevated deck, and a pool seamlessly integrated into the coastal landscape.
At BIMBROS.io, we specialize in taking architectural models and turning them into photorealistic 3D renderings that make design concepts easy to understand and visually compelling. Whether you’re an architect, builder, or homeowner, our workflow helps you see your project before it’s built.

The English Tudor style of the historic Cheelcroft section of Hohokus is characterized by slate roofs, stucco, hand-cut siding, stonework and patterned brick. Morpurgo Architects incorporated each of these elements in a renovation that now embodies 1930’s Old World charm in a new, cohesive composition designed for modern times.
Though this house has been significantly enlarged, the additions are kept to a scale that is sensitive to the Tudor style. The street facade remains true to the original footprint, so that it continues to be situated comfortably among its neighbors. Beyond the front entrance, the house evolves from existing rooms with traditionally low ceilings to unexpected heights.
As a departure from original Tudor houses, our firm crafted the additions to this house with tall cathedral spaces resembling the great halls of European manor houses. Large steel casement double-insulated windows and doors flood the rooms with light and integrate these spaces with the surrounding gardens that offer compelling vistas to the landscape through historic-styled leaded glass panes.

A Brush with Brass - The cool metal tones (stainless steel, nickel, chrome, etc.) that have outsold all other finishes on everything from decorative hardware to faucets to furniture have become so popular they have begun to look commonplace.
Warmer brass finishes (along with copper and bronze) have been moving in from the margins and are beginning to make a splash in high-end commercial projects and contemporary design. Brass offers a compelling and intriguingly fresh look, especially with a brushed finish that is different enough from the polished brass of the 70s to look brand new!
It always takes a few years before new trends fully develop and become part of mainstream interior design, but brushed brass looks are certainly gaining popularity. This Dura Supreme kitchen, with it's sleek contemporary design, utilizes brushed brass accents in lighting, decorative hardware and plumbing.

A fresh and modern vision for English country living with exacting attention to custom details such as herringbone floors, lamp shades, drapery and a custom-built banquette that provides a hint of the modern in the midst of classic country refinement. From arresting open-back chairs curated for their sculptural quality to carefully rusticated wall finishes that provide a palette for aged-glass mirrors flanking the entrance to the library, no small detail is left unattended. Design inspiration for this petite living room emerged from an emphasis on creating compelling vistas and marrying form and function between this little charmer and its adjoining library, foyer and dining room. For a client who required a fresh take on the charm and subtle sophistication of an English country living room without any of the stuffiness, only the most impeccable design choices would suffice.

The idea for Scandinavian Hardwoods came after years of countless conversations with homeowners, designers, architects, and builders. The consistent theme: they wanted more than just a beautiful floor. They wanted insight into manufacturing locations (not just the seller or importer) and what materials are used and why. They wanted to understand the product’s environmental impact and it’s effect on indoor air quality and human health. They wanted a compelling story to tell guests about the beautiful floor they’ve chosen. At Scandinavian Hardwoods, we bring all of these elements together while making luxury more accessible.

The comfortable elegance of this French-Country inspired home belies the challenges faced during its conception. The beautiful, wooded site was steeply sloped requiring study of the location, grading, approach, yard and views from and to the rolling Pennsylvania countryside. The client desired an old world look and feel, requiring a sensitive approach to the extensive program. Large, modern spaces could not add bulk to the interior or exterior. Furthermore, it was critical to balance voluminous spaces designed for entertainment with more intimate settings for daily living while maintaining harmonic flow throughout.
The result home is wide, approached by a winding drive terminating at a prominent facade embracing the motor court. Stone walls feather grade to the front façade, beginning the masonry theme dressing the structure. A second theme of true Pennsylvania timber-framing is also introduced on the exterior and is subsequently revealed in the formal Great and Dining rooms. Timber-framing adds drama, scales down volume, and adds the warmth of natural hand-wrought materials. The Great Room is literal and figurative center of this master down home, separating casual living areas from the elaborate master suite. The lower level accommodates casual entertaining and an office suite with compelling views. The rear yard, cut from the hillside, is a composition of natural and architectural elements with timber framed porches and terraces accessed from nearly every interior space flowing to a hillside of boulders and waterfalls.
The result is a naturally set, livable, truly harmonious, new home radiating old world elegance. This home is powered by a geothermal heating and cooling system and state of the art electronic controls and monitoring systems.
The roof is simulated slate made from recycled materials. The company for this home is no longer in business but today we specify Inspire by Boral https://www.boralroof.com/product-profile/composite/classic-slate/4IFUE5205/
