From drab and outdated, to a fantastic modern farmhouse feel, Architectural Ceramics designers were able to give these residents the kitchen of their dreams with the help of the latest trend in tile- cement! Cement tiles are made one at a time by hand, with blends of cement, marble powder, fine sand, and natural mineral color pigments to create the patterns the world has fallen in love with. After helping the client narrow down their favorite selections from Architectural Ceramic’s thousands of high quality tile options, a custom concrete design in shades of blue and grey for their backsplash turned out to be the perfect match to the rest of the kitchen. Architectural Ceramics designers eagerly work to make your project their top priority with a one of a kind design you can brag about for years to come. For a family putting down lasting roots in Park City, this 10,000-square-foot estate within the gated enclave of Quarry Mountain Ranch is conceived as both sanctuary and legacy. Designed to evolve alongside its owners, the home balances permanence with a deep sensitivity to the land it inhabits.
Thoughtfully positioned within an alpine meadow shaped by the gentle flow of McLeod Creek, the residence embraces its setting. The waterway threads through the property, sustaining native grasses and drawing elk, deer, and migratory birdlife, grounding daily life in the rhythms of season and landscape.
Broad planes of glass and sheltering rooflines frame uninterrupted views of ski slopes and distant ridgelines, while long sightlines pull natural light deep into the interior. Terraces and covered outdoor rooms mediate between house and meadow, creating spaces for gathering, reflection, and year-round connection to the outdoors.
A restrained palette of wood and stone echoes the textures of the terrain, lending warmth and durability to the home’s contemporary expression. A separate guest house extends the architectural language, forming a discreet compound that supports family life, hospitality, and the enduring cadence of alpine living.

Developing a landscape that complements the home style is paramount. This neo-colonial home features plantings, containers and a traditional brick entry that are in harmony with each other and in rhythm with the house. Astilbe, Hosta, and Rhododendron are featured with large beds of Pachysandra, creating a subtle, yet effective presentation.

A mountain retreat for an urban family of five, centered on coming together over games in the great room. Every detail speaks to the parents’ parallel priorities—sophistication and function—a twofold mission epitomized by the living area, where a cashmere sectional—perfect for piling atop as a family—folds around two coffee tables with hidden storage drawers. An ambiance of commodious camaraderie pervades the panoramic space. Upstairs, bedrooms serve as serene enclaves, with mountain views complemented by statement lighting like Owen Mortensen’s mesmerizing tumbleweed chandelier. No matter the moment, the residence remains rooted in the family’s intimate rhythms.

In this one bedroom apartment, I wanted to enhance the brightness of this living room space by adding a few bold colors, and complementing these bold colors with heavy, neutral textured art and a patterned rug and coffee table. Mesmerizing green velvent panels, with sheer curtains in tow, hung on a gold double rod add immense character to this room. An eye catching lamp sits in the corner near the chaise side of the sofa for my book loving client. Another priority was the bookshelf entertainment stand. All of my client's books fit perfectly, and a few metallic accessories slightly adorn the top. After installing all of the items, my client's space is neat and looks larger than it actually is.

Located near the base of Scottsdale landmark Pinnacle Peak, the Desert Prairie is surrounded by distant peaks as well as boulder conservation easements. This 30,710 square foot site was unique in terrain and shape and was in close proximity to adjacent properties. These unique challenges initiated a truly unique piece of architecture.
Planning of this residence was very complex as it weaved among the boulders. The owners were agnostic regarding style, yet wanted a warm palate with clean lines. The arrival point of the design journey was a desert interpretation of a prairie-styled home. The materials meet the surrounding desert with great harmony. Copper, undulating limestone, and Madre Perla quartzite all blend into a low-slung and highly protected home.
Located in Estancia Golf Club, the 5,325 square foot (conditioned) residence has been featured in Luxe Interiors + Design’s September/October 2018 issue. Additionally, the home has received numerous design awards.

The light, airy sheers with delicate floral embroidery afford privacy on the lower portion of the window; a soft balloon valance with gentle folds in the main fabric pattern help to conceal window darkening shades. The valance arches echo the rhythm of the arched window. A curtain in pink ticking is tied back with a bow that matches the valance; all of these fabrics are taken from the bed. This multi-faceted window treatment dresses this important focal point without interfering with the beauty of the striking window arch, which allows the outdoors to come in and maximizes ambient daylight in the room.
