This light and airy kitchen combines traditional accents with transitional ones. Black honed granite counter tops are balanced by dark accents through out the space like the slat-back island stools, lantern pendant fixtures above, and bronze hardware on doors. The light stone on the kitchen island work beautifully with white cabinets, Nickel pulls, and Nickel plumbing fixtures. The kitchen's honed stone counter top is repeated at the pass-through to the dining room. The counter top is supported by curvy decorative brackets that are a great balance to the rectilinear characteristics of the shaker style kitchen cabinets. Architectural millwork and column at Dining Room entry add a traditional element to this relaxed space. The combinations of all these finishes bring personalty and warmth to the home. Our challenge was to organize a home business office—in a space only 7 ft x 8 ft—where the owner managed international sales with more than 300 products! A beautiful hand-planed cherry desk with a raw edge had been installed along one wall, but the office lacked organized storage space. With the addition of quick-access dividing trays, tiered computer stands for digital equipment, and free-standing shelving for matching 3-ring binders, the workflow was streamlined and all paperwork found a home! We also added an adjustable LED desk lamp to create a range of lighting conditions — perfect for simple photography work used for digital marketing!

Our client approached us while he was in the process of purchasing his ½ lot detached unit in Hermosa Beach. He was drawn to a design / build approach because although he has great design taste, as a busy professional he didn’t have the time or energy to manage every detail involved in a home remodel. The property had been used as a rental unit and was in need of TLC. By bringing us onto the project during the purchase we were able to help assess the true condition of the home. Built in 1976, the 894 sq. ft. home had extensive termite and dry rot damage from years of neglect. The project required us to reframe the home from the inside out. To design a space that your client will love you really need to spend time getting to know them. Our client enjoys entertaining small groups. He has a custom turntable and considers himself a mixologist. We opened up the space, space-planning for his custom turntable, to make it ideal for entertaining. The wood floor is reclaimed wood from manufacturing facilities. The reframing work also allowed us to make the roof a deck with an ocean view. The home is now a blend of the latest design trends and vintage elements and our client couldn’t be happier! Targeted repair project at a residential property in Cleveland Heights, OH. Rent Ready Constructions managed foundation repair work and interior repairs under a focused scope delivered within a tight 3-day timeline. Work completed included foundation repair and stabilization, interior repairs associated with the foundation scope, and all related cleanup and site restoration. The project was completed on schedule and to code, with the property returned to the client in clean condition.

The backyard’s convenient Jandy control system facilitates the management of pool and spa equipment, lighting, heating, air conditioning, etc., from inside the home, or from a remote location by smart phone. Not only is this backyard elegant and functional, but also thoughtfully equipped for four-season luxury living.

The exterior of this project was secondary since the siding was in good condition. But we replaced windows & doors and suddenly there was only a small amount of work left to freshen the rest of the house. We simply painted trim and remaining doors and dramatically increased the curb appeal.

The Charmant Hotel management (per the Architect) wanted to replace umbrellas (which had become a problem with wind) with folding lateral arm retractable awnings to increase the seating area and use the patio without worrying about weather conditions such as light rain. The existing umbrellas did not provide sufficient shade coverage or light rain protection due to the space created by using umbrellas.
